Great movie by a great director (steve miner). Very fun film to watch the sequals not so good but not bad either. Love George wendt in the first one though and John Ratzenburger in pt. 2 was very funny as well. Definetly worth owning i.m.o.

Well, lets but it this way: as i watched it, i was confused as to wether is was a comedy or horror...perhaps both.

A good movie to watch on a rainy day. Seen the second one,it s good since it's a completey different story and not a follow on from the first.

the first time i seen that movie was when i was a kid and here
we are years later talking about it in a post ,,, that's cool, it's a
awesome great 80's horror flick ... if your a horror fan and you
love horror, this is one film you'll be watching again and again
a well known horror of the 80's decade ,,, follow by three
sequels ... whch are (house II: the second story) the horror
show known outside the u.s. as house III and the last sequel
house IV ... !!!

i didnt much like it - except for the bit where he's hiding the hand ..
doesnt the dog run off with it in it's mouth or something ?
Good popcorn fun.
bit of trivia.
didja know that William Katt auditioned for the part of Luke Skywalker in the original Star Wars (1977) opposite Kurt Russell, who auditioned for the role of Han Solo.

it's one thing to slightly change the subject but if you're going to do a 180 and burnout into a completely different movie you should start another thread.

If we did it like that then the whole forum would be one big cluttered thread.

Come on everyone does it  give the new guys a break.
I liked this film but yes it is average at best. I really like House 3 (The Horror Show) with Lance Henriksen and Brion James.

I wasn't attempting to be mean or anything just letting her/him know.

Fair enough :) I've just been getting annoyed at people going on and on about rules to the new people. I just don't find it that big a deal.
