Mom To Advertisers: Place Your Ads On My Baby
Langhorne, Pennsylvania -- When Michele Hutchison's baby is born, she envisions more than a pure bundle of bouncing joy. She also sees a potential billboard.
The suburban Philadelphia mom-to-be is inviting advertisers to put their names on her child's clothing and baby goods, saying the ads are sure to get noticed.
"Everyone looks at babies. We're going to be out and about all the time," said Michele Hutchison, 26, whose second child is due in June.
Hutchison, a stay-at-home mother, has placed notices on the Web sites Craigslist and eBay seeking bids of at least $1,000 for the rights for one month.
She got the idea after learning of a woman who offered to have advertisements tattooed on her body.
"I jokingly said to my husband that we should do this on my baby," Hutchison said. "The next day I couldn't get it out of my head."
Hutchison added that she would not accept any dubious or distasteful themes.
Todd Feldman, president of the Dan Ryan Group, an advertising firm, said Hutchison's idea offers a novel way for companies to stand out from the clutter.
"It's the ultimate buzz marketing, wouldn't you say? There's people who have sold advertising on a bald head. So there's a lot of that going on these days," he said.

Hmm... This is quite disturbing...
First off, since when does everyone look at babies? I know I don't. They don't have anything to offer me.
Secondly, when did it become okay to whore your baby out to major advertising firms for 1000 bucks a month? A person selling a part of their own body for ad space is weird, but acceptable. Selling your kid for ads space is not.

If this mom can sell ad space on her baby then I guess technically you could sell it on any kid provided you are the legal guardian.

Dude people are fucking sick what kind of bastard would whore their newborn child for 1000 bucks a month to ad companys? And what the fuck I don't ever look at babies, what for. And shit even if I did look at the baby whats to say I'd even read their little baby shirt or or whatever the fuck, cause I wouldnt.
That lady should have her child taken away from her.

I totally fucking agree! People are fucking sick! First off I don't look at babies! and If I did, and the one that I looked at happened to be a 'billboard', I'd have to look at it long enough to read what it said and the mom would think I'm a fucking pediarass!

I hope when that kid gets old enough to realize what his/her mother has done to them, that the kid gets revenge by whoring his/her parents out for adult advertisments.....

OR, putting your baby on tall poles by the freeway so that people driving by can read what is pasted on them. i think the crying would annoy anyone who lived nearby.

Please, like high school students dont' already do that. Clothes just aren't clothes these days if they don't have the logo for some clothing company or some other godless corporation plastered all over it.
