View Full Version : Late Night TV

"Imagine your father killing your mother, then imagine him walk free."

I turned on a random station and heard the host of A Current Affair say that.

There's so much WEIRD STUFF on television from midnight on, it's incredible. I've been having sleep problems as of late, so I'm watching a lot of incredibly weird shit. The combination of Coors Light and On Demand is turning out to be bad. It's around midnight, so I'm just gonna keep tabs on all the crazy shit I see.

Join me?

Right now there's an infomercial for a children's bouncing pit (the blow-up outdoor party thing) and the guy speaking is saying "It's so safe! You won't need to worry about your kids running into the street, y'know, maybe getting hit by a car, because they'll be in the bounce pit!"

A little overboard on the safety.

Now they're saying that even though it's just filled with air, it's almost "impervious".

Like, "It's so safe, you could literally unload this automatic shotgun INTO the bounce pit, and the children would come out almost UNHARMED!"

Hmmmmm.....I could use one of those where I live.

I have trouble sleeping as well....I usually have the television on Turner Classics Movies or Cartoon Network late night.

Cartoon Network isn't weird enough at 3 in the morning, I'm working on pure infomercials right now.

I just saw a movie clip with James Earl Jones in a bug costume too. I'm just confused.

I have been drinking also....but I have yet to see James Earl Jones in a bug costume. I have some seen some pretty unusual things but not that. ;)

Let me know what movie....that I would have to witness for myself.

Screw em'. You don't need anything but Jose Cuervo and a good ol' 50's VHS tape of Johnny and his Locust Patrol sexifying and then brutally murdering a young Romanian girl.

Yes, I DO know all. Ask away, I'll give it my best.

I'm pretty sure at this point in time I am unable to think up a ridiculously hard question to ask. So we can both look stupid. :D

Yeah, I take my shit seriously. Basically all it is, we run around town falling down and wearing old 80's rock cut-off tees. Then come nightfall we drink ourselves silly and watch St. Elmo's Fire.

Do you guys remember those USA shows at like 1am or so? They're the shows with porn star hosts introducing low budget or B horror films? I remember one was "Up All Night with Rhonda." All they ever showed was like, "Toxic Avenger" and Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-arama (which I think that Urge has a copy of somewhere in his collection).

I really miss that cheesy old early 90's stuff now.

Somewhere I have a little TV tape that has some of that stuff on it...

I remember Up All Night on USA. Didn't Gilbert Godfrey host at one time? That's how I remember it. I vaguely remember when Rhonda Shear hosted also.

I usually watch Court TV. Like to know where the bodies are buried, I guess. But, speaking of infomercials, been seeing one lately about a blender called the Bullet, or something like that, they've got this old gal in a housecoat and glasses smoking a cigarette while the florida tanned young couple whip up an omelette in the bullet. Billy May's voice drives me to destraction and that one gal for the Ionic Breeze..."I love the Ionic Breeze, Richard!" has got to go. If you get Court TV, try that. No infomercials until 4am, most of the time.
