So I was watching the Cubs lose earlier tonight, which brings me to my thread.

I watched the Cubs lose a game earlier in the season and I was so pissed off I punched a table and broke my middle knuckle. I was going to punch something today but couldn't (because I didn't have my earlier injury looked at and it healed improperly) and realized that I get angry really easily.

I was thinking about it, and a lot of times I'll go completely apeshit over really little things. I'm following suit with Barbra and am rambling now, so i'll get to the question:

What's the worst thing you've ever done out of anger?

I did that more than a few times. i never broke anything, but i got to the point where my middle knuckle on my right hand was swollen horribly.

I used to get pissed off and punch anything nearby. I broke a vcr that way once. I had to tone it down when i realised a. It was incredibly stupid to beat up inanimate objects and b. i was too strong to not destroy anything that was remotely satisfying to punch.


Yep, i single handledly killed a perfectly good vcr with one punch. i was kind of stupid when i was 22....

a long time ago i did that with a Beta machine ..
my first baby :(

i was working nights - not sleeping well... losing my mind.

i had my faithful old beta machine dubbing movies when it started quitting on me .. from time to time it would power off .. which was annoying as hell ... and this time it did it while i was trying to dub a movie .. staying awake so i could finish it and get it back.

so due to sleep deprevation and other shit going on in my life - i went completely beserk.

I jumped up and down on it, kicked it, threw it .. tore it apart ..
at one point i had ripped off the electrical cord and was beating the unit with the cord, screaming like a viking the whole time.


i calmed down when i realized that the tape i rented to dub was still inside the machine.
Getting it out of the tangled wreckage was a bitch but it was miraculously undamaged.


i laugh about it today but i'd have hated to see a movie of myself - it would have been scary as hell. i went completely feral.

sleep deprevation is a dangerous thing.

I had no such excuse. The coax cable i had going into the back was broken and always came loose, completely fucking up the picture. it happened one too many times and i walked up to the vcr and punched it in the "face".

I swear, it blinked, then shut off, permenantly. The LED cracked and i drove the buttons back into the shell. The tape wouldnt come out.

It ended up working out though. i got my first dvd player and a new vcr that day, together they cost me less than the dead vcr had originally cost me.

My ex boy got it, along with my ex best friend. They were in a serious car accident together. Shame that no one (them) was seriously injured. Don't arsk me how, but I think they've been miserable on and off because of that curse. I'm rather proud of it. However, the ramifications killed my cat, and I love my animals. So, I don't play that way anymore. The "three-fold law" works for me.

i had an ex that gave me anxiety attacks .. only i didnt know what they were.

i think she is the kind of person that made people hit her in the past but i dont live anywhere near that world - i just internalized it.

it ended up causing pain in my back and chest .. to the point where i was walking to volleyball one day and i had to turn around and head back because my back was so messed up.

it blew my mind that stress could affect me in that way..

(she was a fucking psychotic)

but i never even once told her to fuck off .. her or anyone else for that matter... (not even on the forum :)

so now that i've internalized for the last 44 years of shit .. i'll probably go crazy and kill someone with my teeth for not signalling a turn some day.

Yeah, anxiety attacks are like that. A year ago I used to have em weekly; I would just break down in these huge fits and I would just want to destroy something. Nothing triggered it and I didn't know why I was doing it, it was weird. I later found out it was my job working for Canon Business Solutions that was stressing me out beyond belief, so I had to quit.

A few years ago I was in a similar kind of relationship. The man was a complete creep, but I never allowed myself to lose control. And I was pretty much a wreck. But I would get intense headaches and feel like the world was kind of closing in on me. I would have trouble catching my breath sometimes.

Eventually I did lose control a couple of times; both times I ended up causing myself pain rather than him (figures). It takes a lot to set me off, I don't get mad very easily. But when I do, I tend to take my anger out on walls and other things that hurt a lot when I punch them. I never take my anger out on other people, even when they deserve it. I always take it out on me....lol.

IN 8th grade there was a bully named Josh that used to give me shit constantly. He should have been in 10th grade by then, but had flunked twice and was HUGE.

On two occasions he got me riled up enough to hit him. The second time, i punched him in the side of the cheek hard enough to give him a bloody nose and cross one of his eyes. He left me alone after that.

Not bad, considering i was under 5' and about 80 lbs at the time.

Um, yeah.....pretty sure I'm a girl....sometimes I am kind of slow, but I don't think I would be confused on that issue. If I'm not a girl, someone has a lot of explaining to do. ;)

But I see your point, come to think of it I am the only woman I know that punches walls. Oh well.
