I'm really jazzed up about this project. It sounds like it's right up my alley. A little bit of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT mixed with some conspiracy theory stuff, some old nazi experiments with the "black arts" & the casting of a couple of good genre favorites... it certainly seems like a winner to me.
There's not a whole lot to the film's website just yet, but what there is is unsettling & creepy as hell. Hopefully the finished product will live up to the promise of what we've seen of it so far.

So what do the rest of you think?

Anyone else out there have any further news about the plot or insights into the film?

Hey zwoti, thanks for posting the links disproving The-Return's theory about me & my motivations for posting this thread. :D

The-Return, no problem about your theory though, under similar circumstances I might have assumed the same thing myself...
No pimpage here though, just REALLY intrigued about the film. I'm thoroghly entertained by conspiracy theories & have always found the nazi's interest in the paranormal facinating. So having them combined in a genre film ( duh, now what other sort of film would I expect to find them in, a comedy? Maybe a romance? :p ) has me all excited.
Hopefully the film will get released in some format pretty soon so I can get a look at it. Either theatrical or direct to DVD ( which seems more likely, but who knows? ) is fine with me, as long as it doesn't sit on the shelf for long & I get to see it.

If they werent going to fuck it up completely, a Return To Castle Wolfenstein movie would make a great zombie/nazi movie.

I just found out about Unholy last week from a co-worker. She has been following along some kind of game/storyline at the movie's website for a few months now - when she described it all to me it sounded very cool and now I have been doing some digging on the subject, too.

It is all very long to explain in a post so I can give you some links if you are interested:

http://www.unfiction.com (the unforums)
http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=unholymovie

and there is also a little bit at the Unholy page at imdb.

Basically, what has been happening at the site is the main character from the movie (Martha = Adrienne Barbeau) has been emailing messages to visitors and getting them wrapped up in a story about Nazis and secret WWII experiments. It's very trippy! I have no clue when the movie will finally come out but all the online discussions around the site have been interesting to dig through. The livejournal has a lot of articles from horror sites so I looked at that one the most.

My co-worker Peg just shot me an email about this:

Unholy chat at AOL tonight (http://www.horrorchannel.com/dread/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=1899)

I don't have AOL - is anyone else going to go?

agree... could have some good potential for a war horror, with the right director behind it.
