Hondo: Movie based upon Louis L'amour's novel The Gift of Cochise starring John Wayne.

The Lost Battalion: Great made for TV movie, but definetly worth a rent if not a buy. This deals with a platoon that gets stuck due to the Nazi regime. The men suffer great casualties not only from the Germans, but also from friendly mortors.

Dances With Wolves: Kevin Kostner does a great job in this movie and all the characters are believable. The Sioux kick the shit out of the Pawnee..

Platoon: Common..you gotta love this movie. Willem Dafoe, Tom Berrenger, Charlie Sheen. Tom Berengers a dickead though in this movie (sadface). I also enjoy the whole smoking pot out of the rifle deal.

Full Metal Jacket: "Shoot me....shoot me.." K that part dragged on awhile. But the intensity of the movie makes up for it. "WHAT IS YOUR MAJOR MALFUNCTION NUMBNUTS!"

Rough Riders: Last but not least. Tom Berrenger is in this one as well playing President Theodore Roosevelt. This is nearly a flawless performance. Plus it has Gary Busey in it playing a delirious Typhoid victim! :D

Does Dr. Strangelove count?

Hope and Glory for wartime.

For a Western:
Open Range

I've heard so many cool things about Clint Eastwood westerns that I'm going to have to check them out.

Oh yeah, for another Western: Blazing Saddles.:D

Are any of you Charles Bronson fans? I watched one of his movies today. I don't know the name of it, however.

Bronson was almost as cool as Clint. If the movie in question was a western it could have been "Once Upon a Time in the West", but he was in quite a few of them.

its crazy cold here.
people - including me - were wearing shoes and socks .. pants and coats - over their other stuff.

thats not what volleyball is all about ..

not to mention putting a ball 2 feet over the other side of the net, and having it blow right back on your side ..
