I am going to have a sleepover with some of my friends. We are going to watch horror movies all night. I would like to watch a movie maybe in the late 80's. I would like it to be like a teen flick. Like a highschool horror. I already have Cheerleader Camp. I heard there is this movie called horror high. Do you guys know what that is about? Please answer by the 19th. Thanks, Grace.

only kids have sleepovers, you're all too young for horror. Blockbusters have an extensive cartoon section.

Sorority House Massacre 2.
First line of dialogue is "Hey, you need help with that shit?" in reference to luggage. Brilliance.

I don't think he had to jump to conclusions...YOU say your 13 on your profile, you muppet!
And if 13 year old children are now saying "fuck you!!!!!!!!!!!!" to adults then perhaps you lot really do need more cartoons.
Just stay away from this one.

Horror High isn't too bad. It's an okay slasher IMO.
It's mentioned here but yeah, I'd recommend The Gate.
Younglings can "safely" watch Gremlins 1-2, Ghostbusters 1-2. You could even rent Paper House. It's very dark but not gory.

"Horror of Dracula"
also
hmm, you want "teen" ... "teen"
"House of the Dead"
and..................
ummmmm...
"BMX Bandits"
and......................
"Werewolf Shadow"
Sorry, I can't think of any teen horror movies that are actually worth watching. There are so few of them, you know.

Just thought of another movie I loved when I was younger : The Garbage Pail Kids Movie. I barely remember anything about it but I do remember watching it over and over. I was a big fan of the trading cards.

When I was in the early teen years, I really liked People Under the Stairs.
Other good ones that have been mentioned already are Monster Squad, Gremlins, Ghostbusters...

I loved People Under the Stairs too. It has this really deep claustrophobic element to it.

Monster Squad's awesome. Why haven't you seen it yet? What are you waiting for?
Seriously... Go rent it.
...Now.
It's not gore-filled or anything, but it's a classic.

If you recommend it I'll buy it. I've heard the title many times but never saw it at videostores. I'll read a couple of reviews.

Yeah, it's worth owning. I have it on VHS but I'm waiting for anice DVD version to come out.
I'd say it's basically kinda like The Goonies meet all of the Universal monsters. (Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein, Mummy, Creature from Black Lagoon)
If you go into expecting it to be some awesomely gory horror movie, you'll probably feel disappointed. If you go in to it expecting it to be a a fun 80s monster movie, you'll love it.
Once you see it, you will understand the meaning of the phrase 'Kick him in the nards!'

Wow. Saturday the 14th! I haven't heard of that movie in about a decade! lol I don't remember it that well, but I think Sat. the 14th was more of a horror film. Monster Squad is a bit more playful.
I always like when I hear I missed a classic too, but unfortunately, I think I may have seen them all now. :(
Perfectly described.
Thanks. I try. ;)

I saw Saturday the 14th IN THE THEATRE on a double-bill with some animated film, like a Disney movie or something. Still have an odd random memory of walking in and seeing the animated image on the screen. Fish swimming or something.
That was fifty million years ago, thank you.

More of a comedy than Monster Squad?
Like I said, I don't remember it that well (I was very young when I saw it.) but I have a vivid memory of a severed head in a refrigerator and at the time I saw that movie, that was probably the goriest thing I'd seen. (That's probably why I was thinking it was more of a horror.)
Man... I should rent that one and watch it again one of these days...
