I think I need to go to some citys and visit their museums. I haven't seen any art Ive liked in a while. I want something to move me, give me goose bumps. I hate modern art for the most part. People don't paint anymore, they glue shit on a canvas and its brillant use os space . Last really good exhibit i saw was in Pensicola Florida. It was marianets made from things found in junk yards and on the curb. It was neat, they had monitors set up all through out the exhibit showing the artist manipulating his characters. The only thing around right now is the dead sea scrolls and well, as cool as that might be I don't think Im down. Im still pissed about missing Andy Warhol. His work and his inspiration meant the down fall of creativity. now all art is trash.

man that's a bit harsh to say "all art is trash"... maybe your too hard to please? :) Funny about the "people glue shit on canvas" comment though, I hate that too.
Those marionette puppets sound cool, puppets and clowns are scary, always look like they're hiding something ya know?
surf around on deviant art, there's tons of kickass macabre dark art there!

thats cool and all, and Ive posted a few of those links in the thread that didn't deserve its own thread. Im looking for something thats going to blow my mind with beauty. I appericiate a lot of art but I feel like I need something new. Its like owning a large cd collection but you've become unsatisfied so you search and search until you find something you will love for a couple of weeks.

Yeah, I woulda bought the Eastwood painting if it were in my price range(and maybe a little over). Although from the looks of it it probably wasn't.

That piece was a 16x20 oil painting.
It sold for $250.00.
Very glad you liked it.
