I see they're blowing their Joker wad pretty quick. So who should play him this time? I say Nick Stahl

Stahl played a decent enough nasty guy in Sin City, but I don't think he'd be the right guy for the part.

Given that they'll probably be going for a darker tone for these movies, I think he could do a good enough job. If not him, then who? Crispin Glover, maybe?

he's too laid back for the joker .. to ... weird.. actually.

he would make an excellent villian though.

I loved him in the charlies angels movies ... he ... and drew barrymore licking the steering wheel of the car in part 2 were the only 2 reasons to see those films.

Ya know...most people would probably think that this would be an unconvential choice for The Joker...but I agree with you 100%. I think Sean William Scott would make an awesome Joker. Plus it may help move his stereotyped career into a different level.

I think Jim Carrey would've been a good choice but he was the riddler so that isn't going to happen. He's a great comedic actor and he proved in The Majestic and Eternal Sunshine that he's also a damn good dramatic actor so I think he would've been perfect.

How about Willem Dafoe?

He did great in spiderman and he can make one hell of a psycho villain face.

Gary Oldman for joker?
Don't think there's all that many characters he COULDN'T make work..the guys like the silly putty of actors.

Timothy Olyphant, if you wanna talk crazy lookin'...he could be another riddler.

how could they get any darker? I thought the firat 2 batmans were great. micheal keaton was a great bruse wayne. the rest were a joke, but I wish this one would have been diffrent in th esence of maybe a 1800's version of batman. Maybe nothing to do with the joker at all, an entirely diffrent story would be nice. I am not looking forward to this movie, I'll catch it on HBO in a year or so.

*"You're nhaat going to sand meee to dah coolah!"
*Fucking up batgirls history/Identity?
*The stupid lookin' thermo-suits?
*The fact that Bane, one of the most (formerly) sinister, intelligent characters in the history of the batman comics, a guy that incidentally broke batmans spine once...was in this film, a fucking idiot that got used like a bitch, looked like a fat fuck, and made a punk by robin, and a newly trained batgirl?
*The fact that the joker was ALLOWED to remain dead, rather than via some plot device, actually escaped, and still at large?
*The "bright, lighthearted" feel to it?
*It wasn't Burton, the only one, to this day, to pull off a truly decent batman film?

*IMO, The first one remains the best comic book film of all time (although, I have yet to see Sin City, which I'm sure will at least come close), the best villain (done PERFECTLY), and had the coolest gadgets and vehicles.
*Batman returns didn't really impress me as much, but still liked it a great deal, it had the same good atmosphere, darker tone, and decent performances.
*Batman Forever was "ok" the first time I saw it, although I DID sit there wondering why it had been turned into more of a cartoon than a movie...it WAS watchable though...I thought two-face could and SHOULD have been much more split personality, and much more sinister, I didn't hate this movie, but didn't really like it.
*Batman and Robin...well...Mr Freeze had cool eyes...uh...not much more good to say really.

One thing I never understood...who the FUCK made the decision to ditch the batmobile from the first 2 films? That car was badass.

I enjoyed the 1st batman, but the Prince music was a mistake (and i like prince)

the second batman might have been dark but it was already showing burtons disinterest with batman... he only cared about the villians (i've always preferred the heros)

Yeah that music didnt fit at all...that scene where they(joker and his gang) come in that building with a cassette player are just emberassing..not cool like they try to be
..and the second movie I thought was too long and a little boring..
...Batman forever is my favourite...

Have to disagree with you on that one. I thought that seen was pretty good. Yeah they're tryin to be cool but you've gotta remember Jokers head is fucked. He doesn't know what cool is anymore. Dont know about the rest of the movie but in my opinion the music in this scene fitted in well.

just seemed like a forced music video to me ..

like the one in Spiderman ...

If it works for you - more power to you - i just found it to be intrusive..an attempt to be topical..
