Alright guys,

Quick quezzy.......

Me an the little lady have just bought this peice of cookin equipment from QVC thats a bit like a sandwich toaster but you can do all sorts of stuff in it like omlets (sp?) muffins etc etc.

Only prob is that the recipe booklet that came with it is obviously american. So I need help finding what the hell certain things are (and whats the UK version or brand name).

Ash american term is "ice-box" at least thats how Bo Freidberg coined it when talking about cookies.
According to the french a desert is not a desert w/o flour, making cookies important to um, pastry chefs!

For store bought I'm partial to Oreo's.

A Sloppy Joe is ground beef cooked up in tomato sauce with onions and green peppers. In the grocery stores here they have a canned product called "Manwich". It's OK.

Sausage pattie is sausage in the shape of a pattie instead of a link.

sloppy joe ...

is a disgusting ghetto meal parents make when they dont have the time to cook.
greasy hamburger in tomato sauce poured over a hamburger bun.
i got sick on one of these when i was about 10 and could never stand the sight of them since.
(do people still make them ?)

a sausage pattie is pretty self explainitory .. sausage meat in hamburger patty form. you get them at mcdonalds - and they give you instant heartburn.

LOL...I HATE sloppy joes, and I can't stand Manwich...

However...Beef barbecue (especially JTM, even though most of their stuff is crap) with fresh coleslaw on a bun kicks ass.....

Great...Now I want some......*Looks around for Dustin*...heh:)

Ah I see.

We dont have the sausage pattie here but I can make them bastards myself out of proper sausage meat.

So do you chop up the burger in a Sloppy Joe??

Just out of interest.......

Just saw Supersize Me last night. Cant believe that shit. Some guy ate nine fuckin big macs in a day. Dirty bastard.

Was gobsmacked by it all.

You just crumble the ground beef as you're cooking it.

Supersize Me totally grossed me out. I'll never eat fast food again!
