Yes, better than Psycho. One of my top three horror films of all time. More people should see it.

I really liked Peeping Tom, anyone who hasn't seen it should really rent it, it's really good. I'm not sure if I would say it's better than Psycho...hm..debatable, but still Peeping Tom is more tense and horrorfying than Psycho. It's really sad that it ruined the directors career. I guess the film was ahead of its time =(

It should still be available as a (really expensive!) Criterion Collection DVD....

I was really suprised when I watched it, didn't expect it to be good, but I loved it! :D Its a really instense film and the soundtrack is great. I love the scene where he's talking to the Mother and you can hear a heartbeat...:p

This film was on British TV not long ago, I had heard a lot about it but went into it with no real expectations. I was very impressed, the acting is great and also the cinematography, the way the camera is used makes the viewer feel like a voyeur themself. This raises the interesting, if rather frequented topic of the role of the film watcher. The techniques the film uses to make the viewer feel like a 'Peeping Tom' relate to the scene in 'Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer', the controversial scene which is likely responsible for the banning of this film where Henry and Otis murder the family, videotape it and then watch it back later on. The watcher is drawn in with the two immoral characters on screen and put into the same bracket, making most people very uncomfortable indeed. Everyone should watch 'Peeping Tom' it's a great film. Does anyone know if it is British?
