Hello everyone, i'm looking for a movie that i've seen. I'm pretty shure it was in color so I post it in the modern ones ;-) From what I recall, there's two men in a base station, in a desert I think and they cant go out because termites or ants are attacking them. Finaly, one of the survivor goes into the insects lair to kill the queen. It's more a sci-fi than a horror movie in fact...well, if you have any ideas, let me know. Thanks!

You didn't specify how old this movie is...But...If it's fairly recent...Could it be 'The Bone Snatcher'?

Thanks for the replys! it's not a modern movie like starship trooper no, it most be pre-80s. I'm pretty shure it was not creature like in starship troopers, but more like ants or termites :-S

I already found "them!" from 1954, but it's not that movie.
I'm pretty shure it was two scientific guy alone in a desert, in a small base station.
There's a movie call termites from mars, but it's a cartoon with Woody Woodpecker lol. It's not that either ;-)

The reason why i said "it came from outer space" in the first place, was because the old Amiga game that was inspired by "Them" was called "It came from the dessert". But when i looked "it came from the dessert" up in IMDB the closest title that appeared was "It came from outer space" and when i read about that movie it was actually pretty close to your description. But i knew the movie I was thinking of was with giant ants and not snails look-alikes. So i kept looking... Phew, now i can relax again. :) Bla, bla, bla......
I´m sure u all find this info fascinating and interesting, but i just HAD to get it out of my system.
:o :D

Deader, I think we have a winner! Yeah, i'm pretty shure this is the movie :D
[...On the surface, a colony of ants has gained a heightened level of intelligence and has apparently decided to drive out the local people. A group of surviving scientists, who were examining the ant phenomenon, rescue a wandering woman, and they become "trapped" in the "laboratory."...]
[...when the nutter scientist is consumed in a pit of ants..]
I remember it was not a film with a lot of action, but interesting story.

Now i'm just picking in the viewers comment on IMDb to fresh up my souvenirs.
[..They make a large sculpture which has a reflective surface out of dirt (how is beyond me.) To boil the researchers out..]
I think that is what I was recalling as a huge termites construction.

It IS a pretty decent movie. One of the better "REVENGE OF NATURE" flicks popular in the 70s. Some really good cinematography...
