Toby the Bunny

Toby is the cutest little bunny on the planet. Unfortunately, he will DIE on June 30th, 2005 if you don.t help. I rescued him several months ago. I found him under my porch, soaking wet, injured from what appeared to be an attack from an alley cat. I took him in, thinking he had no chance to live from his injuries, but miraculously, he recovered. I have since spent several months nursing him to health. Toby is a fighter, that.s for sure.

Unfortunately, on June 30th, 2005, Toby will die. I am going to eat him. I am going to take Toby to a butcher to have him slaughter this cute bunny. I will then prepare Toby for a midsummer feast. I have several recipes under consideration, which can be seen, with some pretty graphic images, under the recipe section.

I don’t want to eat Toby, he is my friend, and he has always been the most loving, adorable pet. However, God as my witness, I will devour this little guy unless I receive 50,000$ USD into my account from donations or purchase of merchandise. You can help this poor, helpless bunny’s cause by making donations through my verified PayPal account by clicking on any of the Donate buttons on this site, or by purchasing merchandise at the Savetoby.com online store.

This guy's up to like 24 thousand that people have sent in so he wont kill the bunny. PETA and the other tree hugger groups are all up in arms and want the website shut down, but this guy isn't doing anything illegal. It's okay to kill a bunny. It's okay to eat a bunny. It's okay to announce it on the internet. And it's also okay to ask for donations to stop it from occuring. Hahahaha. Brilliant! I wish I had thought of this....

I'd demand to see a downloadable unedited and unfaked mpeg of him killing, cooking and then eating the rabbit.

and since he's not obviously not going to 'eat' it, he's just sponging off silly donators ( I know he's selling stuff aswell), I'd tell him that if that downloadable mpeg didn't appear for download on his site, I'd then get him for fraud and deception in obtaining money through deceptive means.

There are a lot of environmental groups trying to shut this whole thing down. First the went to the webhost, but were told that he was doing nothing illegal and therefore couldn't be shut down.

Then they went to news networks. (I saw it on CNN last night.)

How do you know he's not going to eat it? Whether or not 'Toby' actually exists is a valid question, but I don't see why you think it's so far fetched that he would eat it. I used to work at a catering company and we would have a group of hunters in every year that would eat anything and everything that you can hunt (Including rabbits, raccons, veal, bear, and sheep's testicles.) I don't know if this guy actually has a rabbit, but if he does, I don't see any reason he wouldn't actually eat it. *shrug*

im wondering what butcher would actually cut this rabbit for him. there are certain, very specific, and numerous specifications in regards to food, pets, pets as food, food as pets, etc. etc.

In regards to a butcher, I dont think he would actually need one. It's just 1 bunny. It'd be fairly easy to kill, clean, and cook all by himself. If he was cleaning 100 pounds of meat, it'd be different, but this is just one rabbit. I bet he could have it done in an hour.

Well that one anti-killing Toby website I pointed out says that there aer three different bunny pictures, all labeled Toby, but each one is a different bunny.

I dont actually even think this guy has a bunny but it's a great concept to get some quick cash out of some suckers and he isn't breaking any laws.

see..... his idea did work on you for a while, thats his aim to scaremonger people into donating, by making them 'believe' in his idea and his rabbit. Only, you could see through it and laughed it off.

I wouldn't say his idea worked on me. I just found it highly entertaining. I never considered for a second sending him any money, but I do wish I had thought of this first. I saw that stuff about the multiple rabbits in the pictures before I even started this thread so no, I wasn't ever buying into this stuff. Just discussing it.
