Because it's just one of those things that you shouldn't laugh at.
Things that people get offended by are funny.
If you know you shouldn't joke about something then it becomes even more humorous to joke about.
Aids, Retards, Death, rape and child molestation, all things we shouldn't find funny become more funny every time you mention how they shouldn't be.
