it was about 90 minutes too long.
the only film he's dont that i didnt like at all - despite some gratuitous nudity.

then again - twin peaks wore damn thin after the first few episodes too...

maybe i should watch it again and give it another chance ...

its part of the twin peaks world .. a prequel maybe .. cant remember.

If you've not seen Twin Peaks then its too hard to describe ..
just a twisted crime/sex/drama piece. Lightly bordering on sci-fi horror - because of how it's presented. .. alternative fiction i guess ...

hard to describe ..

I think it's worth watching if you're into Lynch I enjoyed it when I saw it on TV about 4 years ago but now I'm not really big on him. Its basically the prequel to the events that unfold in the TV series so don't watch it if you're going to watch the TV series because you'll ruin a few of the suprises. Most of his films seem like overblown, confusing, self indulgent bullshit to me these days. I fucking love Eraserhead, Blue Velvet and Wild at Heart tho he just seems to have lost his way since then taking the auteur tag a bit to seriously. It seems people think anything with his name attached is a masterpeice.

Nooooooo!

I think Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive are phenomenal films. Of course, I'm a Lynch freak, so I might be biased.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is a prequel to the Twin Peaks series. It will be nearly useless to watch unless you see the original series. Not only will you not understand what's happening, but it contains huge spoilers to the series.

If you're really interested, Season 1 is available on DVD, and Season 2 (the final season) is currently only available on VHS. Plans to bring Season 2 to DVD might come to fruition late this year or next.

My woman had to study this film for her contemporary arts degree. Wierd shit indeed. Then she actually did a dance peice that revolved around it. Was pretty cool. Made the audience feel really uncomfortable which was her intention.

Are you being sarcastic???

If not, then it was fuckin wierd. She did this dance piece an the audience had to come in one by one and sito on this sofa in a red room. There was some old fasioned kind of music playin and then she walks in with this feather boa and does some kind of dancin. Didn't know whether to clap or hold her down and stop her bitin her tounge.

Was completely different to my degree but some of it was interestin. She had to critically analyse a lot of films for instance (like fire - walk with me).

Here dissertation was interestin. Was about the 'female gaze' in Hitchcocks (sp?) Vertigo.

I loved Twin Peaks the series and the Film. The film was hacked!!! And apparently we will get to see the rest of the film when the DVD is re-released as a special verision. Unfortunately though it doesn't sound like it will be restored, just extras. :(

That was the scene where the old woman told Laura that the killer was looking for her diary at that exact moment. At that moment in time, he was under the fan in the hallway.

Yes. *sigh*

The Lynch fan's wet dream is that the film is released uncut (which would put it at an epic length). Apparently, scenes were filmed that included all TP cast members, but some never made it into the film.

Come back to me, Sherilyn...
