The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon (2005)
Directed by
George A. Romero
Writing credits
Stephen King (novel)
I was totally disappointed about the King novel wich i found boring and with a minimum of horror content.
But when i saw that the movie is being directed by no other than George Romero i can only say...... Must see!!!:)

I thought the book was ok.
Wasn't really supposed to be a horror novel.
The only horror was what was inside her head.

Has those (stephen and George) guys worked together before ?

no doubt if they had it would be very creepy, no doubt it would be a good show .
probably very little lighting so it would appear very dark and you probably wouldn't know what was happening for half of the film

Two words describe why I have to see this movie. Romero & King!

I think it should be quite a good film. You gotta remember that probably Kings best book to film conversion Stand By Me was non horror. S'good to see cos as i've said before, King horror films/books can either be really good.....or complete shite.

i'll give this one a pass ..
there have been 3 or 4 good king adaptations ... and they were many years ago ..
The closer they come to representing his novels as closely as possible, the less i like them.

The novel is more into the psyche of the gurl...a director like Stanley Kubrick would have made a great movie of it...my only question is can Georgo Romero do justice to the novel or its adaptation for the big screen...because the fear is in the mind of the gurl...
hmm if Stephen King can capture the fear factor in the screenplay for the movie then maybe...who knows...lets wait and see...

There is one movie adaptation of a King book that I'd like to see be made. It's from Skeleton Crew, it's called "The Mist." I'm reading it right now and am almost done with it (the mist is a short story. only bout 175 pages then we go on to more short stories.)

I liked "Graveyard shift" too. Love labyrinths, tunnels and catacombs in horror movies.:)
