I love spaghetti westerns almost as much as Italian horror. Some people don't know that Lucio Fulci directed some, and Dario Argento wrote a few. These movies are often mean, dirty, and graphicly violent. It's not all Clint Eastwood, there are plenty of others, Franco Nero, I think is way cooler than Eastwood. Plus the always watchable Klaus Kinski can be found in a bunch of them.
My favorites are:
ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST (co-written by Argento)
DJANGO
...AND GOD SAID TO CAIN
DJANGO KILL
THE FOUR OF THE APOCALYPSE (directed by Fulci)
Even if you don't like most westerns, I know I don't, these ones could surprise you. Like Italian horror, if your blood lust can't be managed by the mainstream, these things could be for you.

OUATIT West is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. The whole Dollars trilogy, too, is superb

Italian feast fan here, I've not got many on DVD, but have seen quite a few on the Tv and vhs. This reminds me, I must watch Time in The West again, I got it on DVD ages ago and it's on the shelf, but I'd forgoten about it till now.

Hmmm... Well westerns aren't really my genre of choice, but I have seen some really good ones over the years. (Not sure what the criteria is for them to be considered 'spaghetti' so I'll just list all the westerns I've liked.)
Tombstone (One of my favorite movies ever! Val Kilmer should have gotten an Oscar for this one.)
Young Guns
Young Guns 2 (Not as good as 1, but still very cool.)
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Fistful of Dollars
For a Few Dollars More
Maverick (Okay, not exactly a western but it sort of fits.)
Blazing Saddles ( " " " " " " ")

Time in Mexico isn't intended to come across as a western, it's not comparable to the classics, rather an action adventure, with some crime thrown in. Rodriguez pulled it off quite well, it was a good film.

I didn't even bother with Once Upon a Time in Mexico because I thought Desperado sucked so bad.

How can anybody like the TRINITY films, they're like BLAZZING SADDLES without any laughs. Plus, this forum is about spaghetti westerns, not the movies like PALE RIDER or even SADDLES.:)

I'm not a hyprocrite, just a guy who sometimes sticks his foot in his mouth deep enough to chock himself to death. Still, I started this thread, so damn it, I want my opions heard, so I dumped on TRINITY, I didn't say that I didn't admire the guy for admitting to liking them. :)

Well, like them or not, they still were some of the most successful entries in the genre, and made Terence Hill an international star. I liked them too. Good no-brainer entertainment. Hill did get directed by Leone, too, in a roundabout way. Leone directed a scene in a lavatory in My Name is Nobody.
