I'm assuming that Westerns, War movies, and Samurai movies count as action
1) Yojimbo
2) Once Upon a Time in the West
3) Seven Samurai
4) The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
5) Pulp Fiction
6) Magnificent Seven
7) The Wild Bunch
8) The Untouchables (though I'm not quite sure I'd call it an action movie)
9) Battle Royale
10) Sin City

yes.....another for The Untouchables. I would definetly consider this an action movie, especially the scene at the train station, which was just phenomanal. That movie had so many great moments, the Baseball bat scene with Deniro, the scene when sean connery got mowed down, the Canadian Bridge scene. Also, the music was so excellent.

Hmm...When it comes to action, I go more for the mindless sort, or superheroes over the "good" ones....there are exceptions though.
No order to this:
Street Fighter
Hellboy
Van Helsing
Kill Bill [Both]
Matrix [All 3]
X-Men [Both]
Spiderman [Both]
League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
Batman [+ Returns + Forever]
Escape From NY
So many more....I enjoy a fun action movie almost as much as good horror

ouch, thats a narrow minded view ..
when i was your age i was into foreign film .. french and italian cinema ...as well as horror, etc
Couldnt understand a damn word but i loved the style and the performances...
The appreciation of cinema isn't just an 'old guy' thing ... at least i sure hope not.
great films are great films in any genre ..
I'ma fan of film .. i'd hate to think anyone could limit themselves to one small genre ..

I wasnt meaning it to be "Narrow Minded". I'm sorry, that came out the wrong way. Im just different than most poepl. Im a kid and I crave action, blood, and good laughs. Im just sort of bored by thewhole romance scene. but im sorry if that came out the wrong way.

well, pure romance .. even if well done - is something you may appreciate later - after you've been through a few of your own ..
Still ... there are a lot of bad ones .. especially american romances .. the McDonalds of the film world ..
when i was a kid, i was the different one ..
all kids your age dig comedy and action .. so did i ..
and to be honest i started watching foreign films because the french channel that showed them didnt edit them - so 30 years ago you could see the odd pair of tits in your own home TV (unheard of at the time)
Oddly enough the tits (although always fascinating to me) eventually took a back seat to the movies themselves ..
I didnt know it at the time but i was seeing Fellini films, Bergman, Truffault ... and all kinds of avant-garde films ...
they were something special .. and they sunk their hooks in deep. (i've spent the last few years trying to gather these films on laserdisc .. at least witht he sub-titles I'll know what the hell they are saying - not that that mattered for me to enjoy the visuals ..
anyway - hopefully when you're ready you'll branch out and experience some 'fine dining' in between those big macs :)

I can understand what you are saying, there are a couple fiolms that can have moments that are usually boring as crap to me, but if themusic and the acting is just right, I can find myself in awe.
well anyways, I hope I didnt make you feel bad or anything like that, because some things that I say are really dumb,

i couldnt say that I understood this movie at all. It had such a good cast, they should have fixed the plot a little. throughout the whole middle of the movie, it was just a bunch of random scenes that ad nothinhg to do with anything.
