Was I the only one who didn't care for this movie?

what was the second one like?

I loved Ginger Snaps. Personally my favorite was the second one, because it was more serious in sense, and it was very interesting. The third movie was okay, its nothing great but good for the trilogy.

yep "Ginger Snaps Back" the prequal. takes place during the fur trades. Both girls return as Ginger and Bridgette. Its sort of has elements of the first movie but they are all different.

The first one is great. Probably my favorite werewolf movie. (At least it's right up there with The Howling.)

The second was a pretty cool sequel.

I hated the third because it made absolutely no sense in regarsd to the storyline built up in the first two. It would have been a cool movie on it's own and with two different main characters. (It could have had the same actresses for all I care, just not Bridgette and Ginger.) As it was, I didn't care for it at all.

I own all 3 though because ya got to have the complete sets. :)

Hmmm... I'll have to check when I get home. I got them off eBay so I'm not quite sure. There were some special features, but I don't know what you consider 'tons'. I'll check and get back to ya on that one...

The first one was a surprisingly good werewolf movie but I thought the sequel was absolutely terrible.
I'm not sure about bothering to see the third. Is it more like the first or the second?

If you didn't like the 2nd one, then I highly doubt you would like the 3rd. It's not really like either one of the first two... Picture Ravenous, but take out the cannibalism and insert werewolves.

Well the american ones i think only have trailers on them i think, not very much at all. But the Canadian ones have lots of features, trailers, commentaries, story boards, deleted scenes, easter eggs and other bonus's.

I liked the idea of the girls in a previous time. They actually did connect parts with the first two movies. Like in the first movie Bridgette talked about the use of leaches, which was used in the third one. In the third one they got those bird head necklace's that they wore in the first one. The libarian in the second one was one of the fort men in the third who got the leach put on him, then later died.

The downfall of the show wasn't that Ginger and Bridgette were in it for me, it was just the lack of action and twist in it. Seeing that in the first on Ginger was the main wolf, and in the second it was bridgette's turn, in the third they should have maybe made both of them turn, and seen who could have survived...i don't know, but i think there downfall was using too much from the first story and not enough of something new.

Ginger gets bitten/infected in the first one. Before that, both girls are just ordinary semi-gothic suburban teenagers. It makes absolutely no sense (In regards to story chronology) that either one of them would have been alive in the 1800's. They never explained it at all and that gaping hole left me very dissatisfied with the 3rd film.

I have to say I saw the first one for the first time on UK tv cos i'd read some good reviews on here about it. But I thought it was turd. The actual werewolf wasn't scary at all.

By far the two best werewolf movies are American Werewolfe in London and Dog Soldiers.

Could be, but then they should have alluded to that. That just had the exact same 2 characters alive 100 years in the past with no explanation. That was lame.

When did they do that in Buffy?? Do you mean the movie, well it was dumb, but i think they want us to already know that its a previous time and that maybe in a previous life, or maybe she was seeing herself as different slayers.

In ginger Snaps 3 i think they just expected us to know that it was the girls previous lives. They could have tried to explain it, but how? they couldn't just go...."You two are from a different time." They couldn't really explain it.

Thats fine if they thought we would all think that, but even if they had said it was the same two characters' previous lives, I would have thought it was retarded. It completely fucked up their storyline continuity, IMO.

Ok, for anybody who reads this but hasn't seen Ginger Snaps, the thing to remember is that they were filmed out of sequence so that the last film made is the first in the series. So as for the little blond girl in the second film (which is now film 3), after she has locked werewolf Bridget in the cellar we see her in the attic creating her own comic in which she is Briget's master and uses Briget to kill her enemies (she was pretty fucked-up). Anyway that is where the film ends with the werewolf beating the crap out of the cellar door. To find out what happen to her after that we would need a Ginger Snaps 4. However as she had burned granny alive and got the orderly killed, I like to think Bridget ripped her fucking head off :)

Hope this answers your question.

Yah it awesome how well Ginger Snaps did in other Countries. Canada has some great horrors out there, mainly the reason why we don't see them and they aren't put out in different countries is because how they get money for these films is from the tax payers. I like Canadian horrors, because alot deal with the wild and isolation...stuff that has meaning. ( unlike American slashers, i'm not saying we don't have them but there not as wide spread here.) Overall Ginger Snaps is one of the best things to ever come out of Canada.

Americans for the most part make lame horror films, at least these days. So it is good that our neighbors to the north are turning out some good stuff. Hollywood is all about trying to make the most profitable movie, and not the best movie. Just look at CURSED, and then, please all of you (even those who hated it), look again at GINGER SNAPS. I rest my case.:)

I really enjoyed the first one. I thought it was an interesting and stylish horror, that didn't seem like every other movie that come out. There's a terrible trend of clone-like horror movies being mass-produced and it's pathetic. But Ginger Snaps was an exception. The first one, that is.

The second caused me to laugh out loud, several times. It was long, pointless and a poor follow-up to the first.

As for the third, I have a take it or leave relationship. As a part of the Ginger Snaps trilogy, I didn't think much of it. But, as for a movie on it's own, it wasn't that bad. But definitely, not 'good'.
