Do you realize that there are great horror scripts being turned down, while studios keep producing sequels 'cuz people keep throwing there money away for the same old gimmicks.

I'm not saying I don't like Freddy movies or Jason movies or Michael Myers or leather face movies or chuckies, etc...., etc...., etc...

But good horror has no limits. By saying that I don't mean the number of sequels.

A Slasher film is a horror movie once then it turns to Comedy, and then turns to shit as they just pound out one tedious worthless sequel after another.

A great horror film is supposed to leave you feeling, and thinking about these horrors so it sparks imagination from the viewer.

It takes no imagination at all to tell the same story with different endings each time.

I would hold your enthusiasm for at least a little while longer. From my experience the trailer has absolutely no bearing on the film quality. The original House of Wax was a tremendous horror film; the decision to turn this into a Texas Chainsaw type rip-off was very disconcerting. In my opinion, the filmmakers missed a great opportunity to rework a classic film with a novel premise, instead eschewing originality to ride the lost in the woods, attacked by townies horror gimmick.

Obviously, and according to some actual words, any movie that is considered a part of the horror genre and is slapped with an "R" rating is a good/scary movie. Big fucking whoop, I could make a movie about fluffy bunnys attacking New York, but if I put some naked chick in it or a little gore, and it'd be slapped with an "R" rating, you suckers would say "Well, it didn't look good, but it has an "R" rating so I bet it'll go down as a horror classic." Come on, the trailer was shit, and I actually got sick of Paris Hilton by the end of the trailer. I'll never last a whole movie. And Chad Michael Murray? You gotta be shitting me. the reason that you see so many girls like her is because the all copied off her look, and she still looks the best.


also if you were hopeing for the movie to stick to the originals plot, you will be sad to hear it dosnt. the only thing that the remake and the original have in common are the title and people covered in wax( makes for some great but painful forplay).
