Aside from co-signing for him, what exactly about this thread "sucks" in your opinion? Aside from your need to be forum trolls and flame people.

that beiing said, i am almost intrested in this comic. almost. like why does he have barbed wire around his neck and why is it after the killing the horror begins. i think if the dead came back as zombies, it would be a lot better. it kind of loooks like a serial killer necrophiliac comic and that really doesn't sound too terribly intresting, anyone could do that. give me a shovel, some vaseline, a plastice bag and an axe and i oculd film you a documentary on that. but getting the dead to come back as zombies would reall take some effort, so....

He has barbed wire around his neck because he's into S&M and the horror begins after the killing because he's a necrophiliac. It's a shame it "doesn't sound too interesting to you". To each his own. The movie isn't well known and the remake hasn't begun yet so many horror fans haven't had the chance to experience the trash cinema of Lucker. Fun stuff. The comic should be interesting.

well i better put on my troll wig. its my day off, so i want to sit here and see what is good in horror land. i think if you had posted more of a back story instead of just a psuedo miller-esque kind of ad "teaser" maybe you could have gotten a better response. i thinkk your average joe horror fan or even comic dude, wants to know more about somethhing than just an image. therefore it sucks.
it would be like me saying "oh go buy my zombie movie." (attach image of half a zombies face, nothing to back it up).
all in all its like walking into a mexican standoff with a super soaker.
sorry to "flame" you, i just say what i see.

Unfortunately, I assumed most horror fans would recognize the name Lucker - The Necrophagous. My mistake. Seems only a very select few recognize the movies name.
As for joe horror fan and comic dude responding...this forum is damn near dead at times. Any response surprises me, good or bad.
It's unfortunate though that those who did reply couldn't just simply ask what it was about instead of trying to piss on the post.

i don't let people see my s&m scars and the one time my throat did get cut i just didn't answer people when they asked how i got it. but this guys looks like if he were in a police lineup of necrophiliacs, they'd just say, oh thats him. i would think if he were more of aan american psycho kind of chameleon he would do a better job of killing and fucking the dead you know?

Live action film from the 80's. It's been mostly traded and bootlegged on the underground horror film circuit.
Never seen hardgore. I def be interested in hearing more.

well god damn, cry me a river man. i am asking you about it. tell me more. i probably didn't recognize it because for the past 5 years i really only watched zombie movies and japanese fake snuff. and 70's horror porn. and then the old german industrial flicks and some classic david lynch. so as far as some little known movie about a necrophiliac... i probably wouldn't have given it a chance unless it passed through my cult of horror friends.
so really, tell me more, and tell anyone else who might want to know about this.

indiegod,
calm down, relax and start breathing.
no need to be so defensive.
maybe i am just alittle bit of an asshole, but i did get you to start talking and now no one should start up on "this thread sucks" because now there is danger and action. i sowed the seeds of chaos and made an intresting thread and got you to tell more about your project... thus making everyone happy. it is a win-win situation. now calm down guy, we're at peace, you have withstood some ball breaking and now i will probably read every god damn post you ever put on here since i may be the only person who getsinto the comic section!
haha!-

i think you would like hardgore. yeah, theres some site based out of florida where you can buy bootleg movies that don't exist, i can't remmeber the url... i had a friend that bought a ton of old satanic porn and industrial films.
basically hardgore is a porn, satan is a character. heres the gyst. a nympho is put into an instituation run by satan. she tries to bang all the burses and they always die in the middle of it (i like the burning vagina scene). theres decapitated anal, castration, satan, flying penises, a really weird soundtrack... nymphomania. an orgy that has dead people. god damn, such a good horrible movie.

lol I'm really not all that upset. It's a messageboard. I get upset when I get the wrong order from Taco Bell or when I get a ticket for driving 5 miles over the limit. Normally not about replies on a forum.
The movie is fairly underground. It was a small indie film from the 80's the was lost and found several times before it was finally traded on the bootleg circuit. The film revolves around Lucker, an escaped mental patient with a propensity for murdering women and raping their dead bodies. He takes residence in a nearly abandoned apartment building and begins murdering and allowing women to decay in his apartment so he can work the finger licking, icky sex in. Which he does to an astounding amount of naked man ass realism.
It's definitely an 80's flick. It has that gory, exploitation feel that trash cinema fans should love.

haha! dude, taco bell can't get your order right no matter what! haha thats great though. good call. seriously, i am like "i want a taco" and i get a bag of gordittas $10 change from a dollar, and some chicken wings. hahaha! just never order a lot of ood at a taco bell because they will always give it someone else and then be an asshole to you when you tell them that they fucked up.
well you did get me intrested in this film and the comic. i would assume you guys can go goreier and more graphic than a film. is it all like that picture you posted? like black and white with good shading?
well i may have come off as a dick, but i think you got me intrested. where is your company based out of, and can i order comics from you guys at my local comic shop? i really never order anything over the internet.
i might even have to find this movie. did you say there is a new version of it coming out???

We're a new company with a couple horror movie adaptations in the works and a new zombie book gearing up for release mid-May. We definitely do gory and most of our coloring/grayscaling is done by DC Comics colorist, Zac Atkinson. Unfortunately, due to small press being the way it is in comics, it's just not financially feasible to do full color (I wish).
Indie Gods Publishing is based out of Chicago. As for ordering through your local comic shop, hopefully you'll be able to soon. Small press comic companies are required to have a handful of comics done for a series before submitting them to Previews for distribution. Once we're finished with issue #2 of Deadhattan (#0 will be on sale next month and issue #1 is still being inked), we'll be offering the first 3 issues for distro through Previews.
After that, much of our horror product will be online and through mail order only. We're restricted to showing certain things if we receive distribution.
We actually just received a full page article and art preview in the March issue of Rue Morgue magazine for our current horror project "The Rising" by novelist Brian Keene.
The original film of Lucker should be released sometime this year on Synapse Films. The remake is already finished being scripted and should begin filming sometime this year.

Deadhattan is a fun mixture of urban horror and classic zombie cliche. We're not ashamed to admit we do the kind of horror we all grew up with. Some people get pissed when they see zombies, a small band of survivors and a barren city.
I definitely love Slave Labor. I'm a big fan of small press. Not sure if you're into i-horror (italian horror) or giallo but Oni Press is selling a new graphic novel entitled "The Awakening" that i-horror fans will love! You can also still grab Lucio Fulci's "The Beyond" graphic novel over at Rotten Cotton.
As for whether we'll be on sale in Previews, yes. Deadhattan will very likely be in Previews by mid-2005. As will "The Rising". You ought to catch us soon on Fangoria TV and in Rue Morgue Magazine as well.
