I can only see ShankS' avatars so many times before i have to talk about them....

Monty Python is probably the greatest export from England ever. All 3 of their movies are classics.

The show was awesome.

The remaining members have had full carreers since....

okay, what are the best characters and sketches?

I have always thought Mr Creosote was um... unique....

T. F. Gumby - Doctor! Doctor! DOCTOR! DOCTOR! Doctor! Doctor! Where is The Doctor?

Gumby specialist - Hello!

T. F. Gumby - Are you the brain specialist?

Gumby specialist - Hello!

T. F. Gumby - Are you the brain specialist?

Gumby specialist - No, no, I am not the brain specialist. No, no, I am not...Yes. Yes I am.

T. F. Gumby - My brain hurts!

Silly walks was another great one.

Albatross!

If i had to pick my single most favorite character, i couldnt pick just one. It would have to be The Frenchman from The Holy Grail, and Sir Lancelot.

John Cleese kicks ass :)

"I'm sorry... Is he hurt?"
"Is he hurt?!?! You stuck your sword through his head!"

I loved the dead parrot sketch, but i was witness to too many high school variety shows that thought they would cement their place in comedy history by recreating it again, and again, and again, and again.....

i always loved the group photo sketch where everyone is inadvertantly killed.

And who can forget the Classic Spam sketch?

Or the Lumberjack song :)

Mrs. Richards: I've booked a room with a bath and a sea view for three nights. I specifically asked for a sea view in my written confirmation, so please make sure I have it.
Manuel: Qué?
Mrs. Richards: What?
Manuel: Qué?
Mrs. Richards: K?
Manuel: Sí.
Mrs. Richards: KC? KC? What are you trying to say?
Manuel: No, no no no. Qué, "what."
Mrs. Richards: K. Watt?
Manuel: Sí: qué, "what."
Mrs. Richards: C.K. Watt?
Manuel: Yes.
Mrs. Richards: Who is this C.K. Watt?
Manuel: Qué?
Mrs. Richards: Is he the manager?
Manuel: Oh, Manajer.
Mrs. Richards: He is.
Manuel: Ah, Mr. Fawlty.
Mrs. Richards: Oh, what are you talking about, you silly little man?
[to Polly]
Mrs. Richards: Girl, I start to ask this man about my room, and he tells me the manager is a Mr. Watt, aged forty.
Manuel: No, no no. "Fawwl-ty."
Mrs. Richards: Faulty? What's wrong with him?

I love the "Constitutional Peasent" from Holy Grail. To me that is histerical.

And of course, "Tim the Sorcerer."

Life of brian was definately the most insightful of all of them, with the most political commentary.

The Holy Grail was just silly fucking funny

UCB is the best comedy of all time

but Monty Python and Kids in the hall are a close second

I saw The life of Brian when i was 9 and from there i was/am a huge fan. The Meaning of Life is ok, i could have done without the fat dude barfing everywhere, but hey.

Oh and Faulty Towers is a close second lol

I think my favorite was the luberjack barber too. The Bishop had some funny parts to it too. The Life of Brian and The Holy Grail were my favorite movies. I can't pick just 1 out of those 2.

They had balls, but were not nearly as funny as they thought they were.

However, the people from UCB have gone on to do some really hilarious shit.

I disagree. I think UCB was there best stuff.

I wouldn't say it was whacky but REALLY weird.

Monty Python was semi-dry but really silly. I think they're great. They get all the credit they deserve

UCB is overrated, unknown, and it shouldn't be that way.
