After seeing a lot of praises for this movie, I purchased it. I was expecting a lot more from this movie, but I was disappointed by it somewhat. I liked the music and some of the gore, but I didnt find the plot very interesting and it wasnt scary at all. And I didnt care for the ending at all. Am i the only one who didnt find this movie very entertaining?? I give it a 6/10. Maybe i didnt find it entertaining because the last few movies i saw were "The Shining", "Saw", "Donnie Darko" and "Dog Soldiers" which all were very good.

i wasnt crazy about suspiria ... i dug the texture .. the atmosphere ... and the music which went a long way in the creation of both those things ... but it left me feeling a bit empty.

Deep Red was a lot better .. for me

I enjoyed Suspiria very much.

Argento's movies are always fun to watch. As for it not being scary, I can't think of one movie that scared me after age 10.

I liked "Suspiria," it's got a lot of style, and it scared the heck out of me the first time I saw it. Upsetting and abrasive as all get-out. But "Deep Red" I liked such more, because it's so lavish and pseudo-intellectual and fun (while at the same time being SICK and WRONG).

WHAT THE FUCK??!!! Suspiria and Argento's movies are fucking awesome. Suspiria can be kinda confusing (maybe replace "kinda" with "really fucking") which puts a lot of people off. I found that it's a movie that improves with repeated veiwings (everything makes a bit more sense and there's a lot of stuff that you pick up on that you missed). But yeh I guess Argento's not for everyone ;)

Damn right it's not for everyone. I, for one, like to hear the dialogue when it's being spoken, not some loud, overbearing soundtrack that not only seems out-of-place most of the movie but is also out of sync with the editing. Suspiria was not a confusing or even slightly interesting movie in my opinion. But what really bothers me about Argento's films in general is all that LOUD MUSIC. It's brutal. It totally kills any of the subtleness or "creepiness" of some of the more "key" scenes in his movies.

i didn't mind inferno so much...suspiria's pretty lame i think...he makes perfume commercials with an occasional black cat running by the set.....anybody remember the t.v. commercial for the perfume "egoiste"...where the french ladies are opening the shudders and shouting?
his daughters a masterpiece....ill give him and his ballsack that much.

That's one thing I love about his movies. The overbearing soundtrack makes his movies. The Steel Grave tracks on Opera totally make the murder scenes. Dario Argento and subtle are two words that should never go together.

Im surprised Zwoti and Kpro havent come in here shooting everyone who didnt like it in the head.

I actually pretty much despised it. The only part i liked was the chick falling into the room full of razor wire, that was just fucking brutal.

The rest of it... welll... was kind of just a crappy italian horror flick to me. Bad music, bad story, bad acting.

And not good bad like evil dead, just bad.

"Suspiria" is a work of art. The use of colours, the photography, the soundtrack... all these things make the movie a masterpiece. I didn't find the plot so bad, but it is certainly not the major point of the movie. I don't think u can compare "Suspiria" with "Saw" and "Dog Soldier". I loved them both, but they are a different thing... very "enterteining", but not at the same level if u consider visual and sound aspects. "The Shining" is a masterpiece, nothing to say ;)." Donnie Darko" is a bit overvalued in my own view.... but I didn't see it in english and many people say that the translation into Italian really sucks :(.

i didnt hate it .. just thought it suffered from the huge expectations i had.

The witch thing ... i dunno ..
and i never liked Jessica Harper .. so there were a few things going against it for my personal tastes.

on the other hand i did like the style, score, etc ...
...as always with argento

i understand and appreciate the aesthetics of argento's films....but something doesn't translate for me...i think it's the dubbed voices that bother me...
