Have you ever walked out of the theater in the middle of a movie?
I've done it 4 times
Head of State- girlfriend forced me to see this but I couldn't take it anymore after the first 50 minutes or so.
White Noise- my nephew was getting to scared.
Lord of the Rings- didn't know it was that long, had to leave to make an appointment but I went back a couple days later to see it.
Million Dollar Baby- the first time I sat through the whole thing but the second time I left after the first two hours because I couldn't take that again.
what about you guys. if you did was it because you just couldn't stand it or some other reason?

Never walked out on a movie. Even if i hated it, i sat to the end hoping it would redeem itself (ie, Spawn and the Grudge)

haven't seen the Grudge yet don't really know what to expect, you say it's horrible and urge says it's the best horror movie in recent years.

I have sat through movies hoping it would get better, for example Collateral- don't know why but it couldn't keep my attention for the first half hour.
Its to expensive...between $9 tickets...another $15 worth of popcorn and soda....I'm sitting for the duration.
as for The Grudge, don't listen to Vod, it was good. He's from New Hampshire....lots of inbreeding there....if ya get my drift.;)

I thought Collateral was pretty good.
anyway, I've never walked out on a film, but I've fallen asleep during Under Siege. There was another occasion I nodded of, but can't remember the film.

i've never walked out of a movie ..
i ran out of one .. Tales From the Crypt - when i was a little kid ..
I was scared shitless.
(this is the old UK horror anthology, not the recent american one)
but once i make the effort to get to a theatre (babysitter, etc)
I'm not going anywhere.
The maddest I've ever been was watching the Village.
I wanted to kill someone at the end of that one.

I have never and will never walk out of a movie. If there's a movie I actively seek out in the theater, chances are I'll like it. The only times I've seen a movie in theaters that I didn't like was Van Helsing and this POS hippie science doc. called What The Bleep Do We Know? Rule of thumb: Never see a movie with punctuation in the title. There are, of course, exceptions, but What The Bleep isn't one of them
granted, I didn't walk out of any of them, but if I were to have walked out of a movie, those would be ones I'd walk out of.

Come to think of it, I never walked out on a horror film. I ALMOST walked out on "Arachniphobia," but I had paid my six bucks and figured I might as well stay.

Maybe it's more of an emotional thing

I don't dislike the movie it's actually my favorite movie, like Sam said it's an emotional thing, the last 30 minutes are a bit rough.

see, I've never been so emotional from a movie that it's hard for me to watch it. Never even cried from a movie. Came close, but never done it. I understand it, though, just, *shrug*

Shoulda walked out on Blair Witch 2, that piece of crap!
Let's see, I forced my family to leave the drive-in when I was 4 and we were watching "The Town that Dread Sundown" and I was totally freaking out. And to this day I still haven't tried to watch it again.
Also walked out of "Three Amigos" 'cause I was set up on a blind date and it wasn't really going so good. So I got up and left and walked home. Figured: "that'll show her."
It really didn't.
Sad too 'cause "Three Amigos" is one of the funniest movies of all time. So I'm the loser on that one.

When we were about 15 me and my mate managed to get in the cinema to see American Werewolf in London and it was all I could do to stop my mate from running out of the cinema. From the walking across the dark lonely moors sequence onwards he was absolutely shitting himself. At the time here in the UK, (cineplexes were yet to be invented) cinemas were pretty creepy places at the best of times when the audience was small. To make it worse a draught was blowing in from somewhere and a door kept banging usually at a quiet time in the movie. My mate was gripping onto me for dear life and at the end of the movie I thought he would need intensive care.
I fell fast asleep during Ghostbusters 2 and nearly walked out of Blair Witch 2 which is the worst movie I have ever seen at the cinema.

whenever I run into a movie like that I try to do that Last House on the Left thing, you know just shrug and tell myself it's only a movie. It works sometimes but there's been a few that almost made me cry but I never have, there's some that got a few tears outta me though.(Million DB,Empire of the Sun,Schindler's list)

I will admit that Day After Tomorrow had some damnit good special effects but I just couldn't get into it. Freddy vs. Jason was more like a comedy to me. So i'd nod off and when I heard people laughing I'd sit up and watch a little bit of it. Other than that, I didn't to much like it.:D

Jason X was just horrible but I liked Freddy vs. Jason wasn't much of a horror but it was funny IMO.
I almost fell asleep at the begining of the Day After Tomorrow but after everything started going all to hell I thought it was pretty good.

I know it's not horror, but one movie i seen that I didn't think I'd like was Walking Tall. I liked it from the start b/c of The Allman Brothers Song. I was shocked that I liked it , but I did.:D

now where the hell is that pot and kettle picture ?? :)
i just didnt want anyone thinking i was afraid watching Demon Night :)
good movie though :)
as an aside ...
Remember Tales of the Crypt - Bordello of blood ... the less than stellar sequal .. with the hopelessly lost Dennis Miller..?
I won something on a local radio station which put me in the running for another prize which i wasnt aware of ..
i got a phone call one day from the radio station saying i was one of 2 or 3 finalists so where would i be on a certain day so i could receive the phone call live ... The prize was an all expenses paid trip to New York City to see the Bordello of Blood premier ... a really cool New York weekend holiday - even if the movie did suck shit ...
it turns out that the weekend we would have gone - we were already booked to go to cuba that week.
What are the fucking odds !
So i had to tell them to pick someone else ...
oh well, dennis miller in a shit film vs topless women sunbathing on a beach .... i'll take the beach.
