Anyone heard about this? I have checked all threads but cannot find anything about this. Some people say it looks promising and some are sticking with the old ones. I can't wait to see this one.

Never hreard about it. Sounds like a terrible idea. Have things gotten so bad that they are now making remakes of movies that have already been remade? or maybe its a remake of the remake.

It looks like it's going to be a prequel to the remake. I really wish Hollywood would find something better to do than remaking classics, SNL skits and old tv shows. Is it really that bad out there to find new ideas ? Unfortunately, horror films seem to be making a lot of money for them so we're going to see a lot more of this in the near future.

uhhh it looks like a new movie and not a remake to me. Would it make sense to remake a movie that was just remade?

This may not be too bad since they say it is a prequel. I will be interested to see who will be in it and what kind of story this film will have.

I still don't understand why people get angry about movies being remade, what's the big deal? Who cares if it doesn't end up meeting your ridiculously high standards.

Actually the movie was not a remake but a retelling of the same story. That's why there were a few differences from the "original."

The new Shining was really good. It was more like the book then the movie was. I really didn't like the movie too much to be honest.

I think this would make it be a re-remake.

People don't like remakes for an assortment of reasons. Personally I think a lot of it is just being unoriginal. Why would anyone want to just copy someone elses work and call it their own? only people that don't give a shit about art, and only care about profit are people that do that. Re-making movies is the easy "sell" for hollywood. Its easier to get people to go to a movie they've heard of before than sell them something new. Because most of america's movie going audience doesn't care about quality movies. Most people like what are considered poor movies. But this is also a public that found Usher's newest album "ground breaking".
movie remakes are un-original cop-outs mostly. Though there are some movie re-makes that turn out ok, but those are usually ones with long long gaps between the original and the remake.
just my $.02

explain the need for your existence
Without his existence, you would not be affected by his actions - to wit: doing something different other than replying to his posts, possibly something like turning off the computer a few minutes earlier and getting hit by a falling piano outside which would otherwise have missed you had you been those few minutes later.
Therefore, you need Sedated_replica to exist.
Me too, otherwise I could be at school right now instead of having this much fun...

WTF the shining serie ruled.
Besides that you can't even judge if a movie is crap if you haven't seen it. ;)
