I think I remeber hearind or seeing or reading some where that the boring people in hollywood are remaking The Amityville Horror.
You know, that movie never scared me but the idea of the house being real freaked me out. How come when television networks do the haunted house/jumpy family shows they never go the the Amityville house? When I was a youngin' mother wouldn't let me read the book. I got it twice and never got more than 50 pages into it before I was caught. Was the book scary?

The Lutz family made some $$$ from the book, where they claimed to have experienced this haunting from the DeFoe slaughters in the house.

I like the original Amityville Horror, from James Brolin slowly going nuts (take note, Jack in The Shining!) to those nasty glowing eyes suddenly through the window in the boy's room...

It looks alright, I'm kind of excited to see if Ryan Renolds will be able to pull off a serious role as Brolin's character. He was funny in Blade 3 and all, but I wanna see the guy ACT.
