This movie was just utterly horrid. It makes "House of the Dead" look like oscar material. I liked "HOTD" in a so bad it's good kind of way. But "Alone in the Dark" was god awful. It's a shame too because it had a good story, that wasn't utilized well.

Guess what? Alone in the Dark was made by the same director as "House of the dead"

He apparently has decided his duty is to provide the world with landfill based on video games.

the best part of the house of the dead was the shots of the videogame... haha... i knew it was gonna be bad when they arrive at the island and there is a sega rave dance party going on and the occassional topless girl popping out. i rented it bc the box cover looked cool but i was wrong.

Was anybody expecting anything different? Now this prick's gonna screw up Bloodrayne, too.  Maybe we'll get lucky and it won't get released after producers see how bad Alone Jacking Off In The Dark is.

AND Far Cry? What the fuck? Uwe Boll needs to be shot. Shotgun, both barrels, right against the forehead.

OMG that link is histaricall, real horrorshow. As for Alone, it was at least a step up from House of the Dead. And by step up i mean bigger budget. I was hoping it would have another zombie sword fight at the end but a lass it never. At one point it was just a crappy rob zombie music video.

Uwe Boll is a genius. He actually hyped this movie up beyond all belief and then just dropped the ball on all of us. God love him. I've heard from a bunch of places he could be the next Ed Wood.

I didn't think it was possible to turn human feces into film. Boll must be a wizard or something.

House of the Dead is proof positive that you cannot judge a movie by its (DVD) cover! Recommendation for all those that own this movie on DVD, Remove the artwork and hang it somewhere 'cause the cover is cool. Take out the DVD and use it as a coaster on your desk to prevent white water ring marks. Also makes a good fresbie or a good locker-sized mirror.

I thought "House of the Dead" was good in a so bad it's good kind of way. "Alone in the Dark" was just painfully bad.
