Fuck yeh the Jerks were a great band and Repo Man definatley has one of the best soundtracks to it (rivialed only by the first Return of The Living Dead). This movie does have some really bizarre scenes I think one of my favorite things about it are the weird plain labels on products.... and the whole "John Wayne was a fag" thing. Do you guys think Tarantino was paying a homage to this movie with the briefcase in Pulp Fiction? Does the Anchor Bar version have a bunch of extra shit on it?

This is probably best known in the UK for a weird reason.
when shown on TV years ago "Motherfucker" was dubbed over with "Melon Farmer" as it fitted the lip movements perfectly.
Alex Cox heard it and supposedly LOVED it!
Which is why (as far as i know) 'Melon Farmer'/'Melon Farmers' became a title for censorship..and the name of an anti-censorship web site as well.

^^ Ha! yeh I remember that's the first time I saw the movie on TV with the "Melon Farmers" and "Flip yous". Those old assed "MODIFIED TV VERSION" (if you saw that come up before a movie you'd know you're about to see some lame cuts) used have some rediculous edits in them like totally unrelated scenes in slow motion when a person was swearing to much to edit properly was one that always used to annoy me. But the edited Repo Man is pretty cool and unusual and almost makes a quirky movie quirkier.... I wonder if the have that cut on the DVD? But yeh the briefcase in Pulp Fiction is definatley a dig at Repo Man I think (similar plot device at least..... and maybe that shit that was leftover from that car has turned yellow over the years). But I guess there two movies that have sparked debate over just "What the fuck is in there???".
Flip you! Motherhumper! :p

well, i done bought it ..
here's what the tin has ..
A 24pg booklet, the CD soundtrack
extras on the DVD : audio commentary, by director (and producer neismith) as well as a few others, and the usual junk .. trailers, bios. Plus it's widescreen.
not a ton of stuff but I'm looking forward to the commentary.

Sounds like a good package. We've just got the standard one over here.
