Any lines or scenes in movies that make you want to just strangle the writer/actor/director for bringing it into being? I have several.
True Romance (whihc i love otherwise):
(After finding out that Christian just killed Gary Oldman for her)
That's so....Romantic!
Samuel L Jackson's little speech in Deep Blue Sea just before the shark gets him. They waste 5 minutes on a fucking survival story with no end. it wasnt iri=onic, it was retarded.
Starship Troopers:
You're some kind of big, smart bug, arent you?
Ah hell, Anything Casper Van Dein has ever done.....

"Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us today. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the Fourth of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are fighting for our right to live. To exist. And should we win the day, the Fourth of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight!" We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!"
that scene makes me cringe and it gets so bad I get stomach cramps.

I loved it the first time i saw it, but i was a lot younger then....
now i find a reason to leave the room.
One of the most impossible scenes to watch ever is Denise Richards' little dance number in Drop Dead Gorgeous. It makes me uncomfortable and embarressed just to see her....

Most of Arnold's one liners in Predator were pretty gut wrenching:
(throws knife and sticks bad guy to a post) Stick around!
(kicks in door, just before shooting 2 more) Knock, knock!
Bill Paxton's little "I'm the Ultimate Bad-ass!" Speech in Aliens Special edition was pretty painful. It was one of those lines that Deserved to be cut from the original.
Robocop has some stinkers that are so bad they are good:
"Your move, creep!"
"I have the power. I have the connections. I have the muscle to shove so much of this factory up your stupid wop ass, that you'll shit snow for a year"
Or, Robocop kicks the door in to the place, and there are 20-30 guys in there. "Come quietly or there will be, trouble."
I think VH-1 wopuld call those Awesomely bad.
One of the most blatantly stupid lines has got to be from X-men.
Storm: Do you know what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?
[Pause]
Storm: The same thing that happens to everything else.

How about the great end line in "I Come in Piece"?
Gigantic Alien dude: I come in peice..
Dolph Lundgren:You go in pieces. (climactic boom)

Godsend

Dungeons and Dragons. I swear to christ, i want that little retard dead.... Marlon wayans dies and he drops to his knees, and in the cheesiest fucking way possible wails "NooooooooOOOOOOOooooooOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!"
Really, i want to strangle him slowly..."Scream now, bitch..."

Titanic: "I'm king of the world!"
*self explanatory why this line sucked*
Braveheart: "They may take our lives, but they will not take our freedom."
*umm wouldnt you rather be alive and plotting to get your freedom back?*
In an otherwise excellent movie the quote from Lawrence Fishburn in Event Horizon:
"(panting)...I know...(more panting)...to Hell."
It is the most horrible devivery of a line in any mainstream movie that I can recall. Hits me like fingernails to a chalkbord.

A lame line that is actually one of the greatest movie quotes ever:
From They Live:
I am here to chew bubble gum and to kick some ass. And i am all out of gum.
Fucking classic.....:D

i think a line is qualified at lame or good by two obvious points ..
1) is it well written
2) is it well delivered.
A line that reads bad can be great if it is delivered properly ... and the 'they live' line above was performed perfectly by Roddy ..
I'd say that makes it a great line :)

I remember vividly seeing They Live for the first time last year. i had not seen it before because when i used to go to get cheesy horror flicks with freinds, they always insisted that it was a terrible movie with no point, and i assumed they might be right since it was Roddy Piper.... A pro wrestler for one thing, and one who wore a kilt for the next.
Boy were they wrong. I bet if i had sunglasses, i would have seen my "freinds" werent all they seemed....
That whole movie is just a classic. i love it.

it was one of most classic examples of how a great director could get a good performance out of a bad actor.
watch hell comes to frogtown if you wand to see a poor directer get a lame performance out of the same bad actor.
My theory has always been .. anyone can act - its the director and the editor who determine if a film is bad or not.

A truly awful line from the greatest Star Wars movie ever:
You stuck up, self centered, scruffy looking... Nerf Herder!
I wanted princess leia to sit on my face even before i knew what that meant, but jesus christ, i cringe whenevetr i hear that...
Although i always loved Han's rebuttle:
Who are you callin' scruffy lookin'?

So? It was poorly delivered (although, I'm not sure there's a RIGHT way to deliver a line like that), and just because it's in the comic doesn't mean it should be in the movie. Some things are just better left on the page

i didnt mind it so much .. she was always saying Tiger in the comics .. always ..
I kind of appreciate Raimi's devotion to authenticity (as much as possible)
Didnt stick in my head as that bad a delivery either ..I'll have to watch it again ...

Well I'm not sure this is stupid, but I didn't understand it. Yep, I'm quite stupid :p. It's from The Ring:
woman: Don't worry, she's safe now.
boy: she never sleeps...
