I, without a doubt, love the haunted stuff. Especially when it isnt necesarily "Ghosts", but the house/building itself is evil, driving those in the building to do things.
Examples:
The Shining
House on Haunted Hill [Both Versions, but the original had the eviler house]
Pit and the Pendulum [Not a typical Haunted House movie, but ya know what I mean]

my favorate horror movie Halloween is from the slasher genre but i prefer psychological horror now in my opinion that's stuff like Silence of the Lambs and The Shining i'm saying what my opinion of it is because i'm not exactly sure if there's such a thing as ''the psychological'' genre.
My favorite would have to be the demonic subgenre of horror. Case in point...The Exorcist. Millions upon millions of people believe that demonic forces exist. Just the possibility of it being real adds to the flavor of the movie.

at this point they're all the same within the different subgenres (all the slashers are the same, all the psychological horror is the same, etc), so I'll watch whatever movie is good.
I used to have a soft spot for zombie movies and revenge exploitation, though.

i think i'm going to slightly change my answer from just psychological to a tie for first between psychological and vampire with slasher a close second.

Same here. Love it when the house\building has a life of its own and fucks with the occupants.
Eg. - Poltergeist 1,3 and more that I can't think of now.

It's a tie between Slasher and Zombie flicks for me. What noone that I've seen has pointed out it that Slasher films tend to break down into two different genres that I've noticed. One is the supernatural slasher flick like Friday or Halloween where the killer has powers that keeps him from staying dead and the other is with mere mortal slashers such as Slumber party or Sorority house massacres. I like them both just fine.

That's exactly how i feel.
Aside from the Satan/Demon theme, anything Vincent Price is in. I'm also fond of zombie movies;)

I love vampire movies and ghost horror movies. I also love movies where the building has a mind of it's own and messes with the people who are there.
