I use to watch DarkShaddows back in the late 60s and early 70s I loved that TV show. In the 90s there was a new Darkshaddows series but I dont think it caught on like the original show did.

The new "Dark Shadows" started in 1991 on NBC but it ran only 13 episodes. I thought it was pretty good. Recently the WB network tried to revive the show again with a new cast but it never got past a pilot episode.

I forgot to mention that the original "Dark Shadows" cast made two movies in the early 70's "House Of Dark Shadows" and "Night Of Dark Shadows".
"House.." is a retelling of the Barnabas Collins story and "Night.." tells the story of Angelique the witch. Both films are on VHS but,as far as I know, not yet on DVD.

If I am not mistaken wasnt David Selby in the DarkShaddows movie in 1972? I think and maybe Kate Jackson was in it as well.

That was when I watched it, but I was in kindergarten or grade one then. It was scary to me then..................caught the humor when it reran a few years ago.

I think the Scifi Channel had it on for a while. I am not sure if they are still running it though. Hey remember the DarkShaddows board game?

Both David Selby and Kate Jackson were on the original daytime soap playing various characters and later starred together in the movie "Night Of Dark Shadows"

I don't remember the board game, but I remember running home from school to watch it every afternoon! Barnabas ruled the day (or night, as it may be).

DS fans who like to read may want to check out two semi-new novels, there both a couple of years old, but very entertaining.
1. Angelique's Desent By Lara Parker (the actress who played Angelique in the original series)
2. Dark Shadows:Dreams Of The Dark By Stephen Mark Rainey and Elizabeth Massie
