I've had a red caggabe sauerkraut before, at a german club/restaurant, and it was fucking excellent, as was the rest of the food there. Those people know how to eat hearty.

That sandwhich looks good, but I have to give this one to the BLT, out of versatility. Personally, I've had slight variations of the BLT for breakfast, lunch and dinner before. - The mixture of bacon and fresh, cool vegetables really works for it. I live in a pretty damn hot country, so yeah, I'd more often than not go with the BLT.
Although Vod, the other one looks great, I might make one.
It's got me thinking I'm gonna go "learn some German" now;)

Paprika, basil, diced onion, cajun spice, granulated garlic, crushed pepper, chilli flakes,guacemole, Try crushed corriander seeds if you can get some - awesome lemon-y flavour, ground rosemary, chives, olives....that's all that comes immediately to mind, but cheese fries would be versatile - try pretty much anything you have lying around.
I'd suggest you steer clear of cleaning products, poisons and corrosives.;)

You never know...I've tried some pretty weird combinations...never say never 'til you've tried it...of course, if it totally sucks, don't blame me...

Bbq'd garlic prawns (yknow...big shrimp?) would probably be awesome, but the crumbed fried ones'd probably be just as good...if you're down with calamari, mussels and octopus too, you could work it that way all together with some garlic (and chive) sour cream, the top, squeeze of lemon/lime juice?
carrot sticks might go well with it, and yknow, other crunchy fresh vegetables that can be served raw or lightly steamed?
You could even really quickly stir-fry the veggies and seafood together and put the sauce over both?
Oh yeah, and cherry tomatos or grape tomatos, sliced in half and added at the end would be nice...
All that beside or on top of cheese fries would probably work?

You could always make your more wedge like, and out of sweet potato or pumpkin as well as potato? Just for a difference...

Just try some crazy shit...use your result as a learning experience one way or another I guess?

:) im basically going off of what i have in the house right now LOL. which isnt much.

shrimp, probably just fried then again i do have that new george foreman grill.. HMM. might be agood idea, i slit down the peel and get the vein out, it tastes a LOT better with the peel on (that is, u dont eat it,, but u know what i mean!) maybe ill just do that

potatoes would be the starch, the shrimp the 'meat' and well, would be nice to have some actual vegetable and we've got a grip of broccoli in the other fridge. dunno what to do with it though? want to do more than steam, maybe lightly steam but then what to put on it? i usually either a) steam, then cheese it b) steam it, then put just some olive oil and lemon. cheese is out of the question and olive oil and lemon seems a bit too plain? then again may work!

as for the cheese fries, i tend to make them thicker neway, i guess they would be considered steak fries :).

You know what's realy yummy is CRAB PUFFS, where they takes some minced crab and some cream cheese and a little cheddar and seasoning, and make little blobs, then batter and deep fry them, they are crunchy on the outside and gooshy on the inssssside. Dip them in a little sweet and sour sauce, they are so tasty.

There was a restauraunt we visited one day, it was near a big ass theater that served daquiris (saw pitch black there :D) called "Mr Big" or Bifggies or something like that. It was a ncie sit-down place. I had a dish called "Catfish Acadiana", it was fried catfish and hoemfries covered in a butter and shrimp sauce. it was in-fucking-credible. New orleans has the best fucking food outside of Paris.

That reminds me - This one time, I was cleaning my bathroom with some bleach, which I didn't dilute.
I have pet rats, and not that they mean to, but holding them, I always end up with partially shredded hands...I had a few cuts on my fingers and hands, and I was holding a large bleachy sponge. Started to sting, but I dealt with it...when I was finished cleaning, I washed my hands - they felt pretty hot, then I looked at my fingers, which felt kinda bruised, and noticed that the cuts had been melted into by the bleach. Melted craters llover the motherfuckers. Looked kinda cool, but was rather irritating for like a week or two.

I've never had "poppers" of that sort...I don't think we have them over here. The only thing called poppers over here is a brand of that amyll nitrate shit that all the raveheads and fags sniff...not my bag, baby....although I did soak some weed in some once and dried it out - pretty strange result.

Ok, I like mushrooms, yet I also love spicy things...but, the oter ones do look pretty fatty...being as it is I have to take care of my liver since a while back, I'll go with the mushrooms - but I'd make mine spicy as a motherfucker.

I'm going to go with bubble and squeak, because I hate mice, and it seems like if you were to just keep squeezing one, it's eyes would bubble, then pop, while the mouse squeaked...the name makes such wonderful things come to mind.

I love animals, but I HATE mice....and guinea pigs. That is all.

BUBBLE AND SQUEAK:

An old English dish, named for the sounds the ingredients make while cooking (or from the sound one's stomach makes after eating it). Some sources say it was originally cold boiled beef and chopped cabbage, others claim it was originally mashed potatoes and cabbage, while some claim it originally contained all three.

Today it is typically made from leftover potatoes and cabbage fried together with onions, herbs and other finely chopped veg of your preferance.

i went out with a girl from Hong Kong for 3 years ...

I watched her dad prepare crab once and i almost fainted..

they take them live, shove in the area where the eye stalks are and then rip them in half, like opening a hamburger ..

while the parts are all moving around in the sink.

then threw them on the BBQ..


i was so upset i could only eat 7 or 8 of the tasty little buggers.

A new study out of Norway concludes that it´s unlikely lobsters feel pain, stirring up a long-simmering debate over whether Maine´s most valuable seafood suffers when it´s being cooked.

Animal activists for years have claimed that lobsters feel excruciating agony when they are cooked, and that dropping one in a pot of boiling water is tantamount to torture.

The study, which was funded by the Norwegian government and written by a scientist at the University of Oslo, suggests that lobsters and other invertebrates probably don´t suffer even if lobsters do tend to thrash in boiling water.

"Lobsters and crabs have some capacity of learning, but it is unlikely that they can feel pain," the study concluded.

The 39-page report was aimed at determining if invertebrates should be subject to animal welfare legislation as Norway revises its animal welfare law. The report looked at invertebrate groups such as insects, crustaceans, worms and mollusks and summarized the scientific literature dealing with feelings and pain among those creatures without backbones.

It concluded that most invertebrates _ including lobsters, crabs, worms, snails, slugs and clams _ probably don´t have the capacity to feel pain.

Lobster biologists in Maine have maintained for years that the lobster´s primitive nervous system and underdeveloped brain are similar to that of an insect. While lobsters react to different stimuli, such as boiling water, the reactions are escape mechanisms, not a conscious response or an indication of pain, they say.

The Norwegian report backs up a study in the early 1990s at the University of Maine and reinforces what people in the lobster industry have always contended, said Bob Bayer, executive director of the Lobster Institute, a research and education organization in Orono.

Supposedly, many "lower" orders of life have the ability to sense touch, but have no pain receptors. Thrashing may be an attempt to escape from percieved danger, but not an actual reaction to "pain" per se.

There is also the possibility that in many cases, ass the brain (or whatever) dies, it has a tendency to fire off random signals that make for some awful, spasmodic twitching, even though it is technically dead..



That being said, aside from becoming a lobster, it is damn near impossible to tell if it is just twitching, or the lobster screaming "HOLY SHIT, I'M BURNING!!!! AHHHHHHH!!! FOR CHRISTS SAKE, MAKE IT STOP!!!!!!!"

Actually, experiments have been done that suggest that possibly, plants are more "conscious" than we animals have supposed--that on a primitive level, they are aware of what's going on, and that when threatened, they attempt to protect themselves from anticipated or further harm.

But they're definitely not as smart as animals, because if an onion were REALLY smart, it would uproot, turn its roots into legs, and get the hell away from the person that wants to toss it into the spaghetti sauce.
