Police: Baby Used As Human Shield Against Taser Gun
Authorities in Seminole County, Florida, said a man used his 1-year-old son as a human shield against a Taser gun.
A Seminole County sheriff's deputy spotted Rodney Williams allegedly speeding Tuesday and tried to pull him over. However, the deputy was forced to follow Williams to his Ovideo home. At the residence, Williams allegedly resisted arrest and the deputy drew his Taser gun, according to the report.
Police said Williams then grabbed his son out of the car used him as a shield. Williams was shot and apprehended by police.
Williams told Local 6 News that he was trying to hand his son to his wife when he was shot with the Taser gun. The shot came inches from the baby, according to Williams.
"I wouldn't put my son in danger like that, he's the only son I have," Williams said.
Williams said he wants to press charges against the deputy.
