VH:D Bloodlust is one of my fav. films of all time, not just anime. I love both of those flicks as well as the original Ninja Scroll. I've been dying to see Wicked City.

Let me say that horror anime fucking owns. Now with that said, i have to express my dissapointment with the Hellsing series. Maybe it was just the fact that it was really hyped up to me maybe i just didnt get into the characters or the jazzy upbeat style but just note my thing i guess. VHD, both of them, are undoubtable classics. Alot of the other ones you mentioned i havent seen yet, guess i need a job:(

Ninja Ressurection(sp?): Jubeis Revenge is NOT a continuation of the Ninja Scroll series. What alot of people dont realize is that charactors like Yagyu Jebei, Hattori Hanzo, and Musashi Myamoto are all legendary heros in Japanese culture, so theyve been depicted thousands of times in movies art literature etc.
Anyways has anyone seen Blood: The Last Vampire? That movie is off the hook. It clowns any other anime youve ever seen. period. the animation is so advanced its stupid.
Wicked city. is that the one where that chick turns into a spider and her cunt tries to eat some dude?
Ever seen Biohunter?

yea, wicked city.....thats the one.
i think i did say that jubeis revenge was NOT a sequel to ninja scroll, but if i didnt, thanks for verifying.
blood was cool and the animation is pretty sick, although i must say i was kinda disappointed w/ the run time and story. I wanted more back story, more vamps, and even more......well......Blood. As for the animation goes, sick as fuck. some of the best animation i ever seen.

agreed completely. It felt like just when the shit was getting going it ended. But I just like the realistic animation and the use of paralax. When she slices that bitch down in the nurses room i nearly stood up and cheered. dope animation, needs a sequel.

Blood the Last Vampire is supposed to get the live-action treatment by Ronny Yu. Don't know how good it will be though.

Thanks hypes!
Blood would be good as a live action if the incoporate the manga more then the anime. The manga is well done.

Like every other one. As far as straight horror goes, Perfect Blue and Boogiepop Phantom are the best I've seen. More recently, Gantz and Elfen Lied are good horror-ish anime, but opinions are divided on both of those series.

Angel's Egg is a very odd film. It's really unlike any other anime I've seen. The best way I can think of to describe it would be: Imagine if a very surreal filmmaker like, say, Kenneth Anger or David Lynch became a gifted animator who happened to be obsessed with religious themes. Then imagine that they took massive doses of LSD before beginning production. Then you would have Angel's Egg.
:D:D:D
heeej thats good
but only 71 minutes :o

Heres a favorite anime of mine. Its not horror at all unless you count that the themes of isolation, death, & everything come into play. However I often kept my love of this anime a secret because of the number of people who take it way to seriously. Anyhow its on my list as really neat little anime. Does it count as horror? Possibly as a philoshpical horror.. Anyhow that my 2 cents... :D
