I'm not against anything as long as it's the movies original creators who are remaking it. I may not like it, but it is their decision.

if sam's doing it i don't have a problem it's most likely not going to be as good as the original but he's not going to mess up his own movie.

what the fuck ?

there's a worthy cause !

I'm going to use time and energy to sign a petition so that people who have the legal right to remake a movie wont do it.

1) who gives a fuck
2) the people making the movie wont give a fuck.

i remember some old bitch in my neighbourhood when i was a kid coming door to door with a petition for everyone to sign - trying to prevent a packistani family from moving in.

We told her to fuck off.

This evil dead petition isnt as damaging, but it is as stupid.

Star Wars detractors might disagree with that train of thought.

Like most remakes, the descision to do this is a very bad one - now Raimi has cut his teeth in Hollywood it is most unlikely he will posess the same resourceful, guerilla attitude to making movies as he did in 1980. This means we will be faced with an expensive, supercharged Evil Dead with none of the cheap charm of the original.

I can't wait for the remake. Screw you idiots for actually trying to see that a movie doesn't get made.

(Not that a petition with 6 signatures could work... :p )

I'm against the remake.... but if it MIGHT give us a Evil Dead 4. "Oh well".

How about we stand outside the movie and yell at people buying tickets saying "Go watch the original!" and than we throw buckets of paint of them... (I'm joking)

exactly. Petitons, especially an internet petetion ( ) means jack shit. there was an ENOURMOUS petition to try anmd save Farscape as a regular sci-fi series. didnt do shit. the producers dont give a shit.

Boycott it if you dont want to see it. that a. hits them where they hurt (theoretically)
and b. Shows that in the motion picture business, one fan cant make a fucking dent unless he is producing flicks himself.
