Wait..what? How is he just beginning? There's already a Batman Returns, a Batman and Robin, another Batman, plus a bunch of cartoons and who could forget the show set in Gotham City? Why is he just beginning? I say screw Batman and bring in Spiderman. Heh heh heh heh heh...

hey, Spiderman's still awesome.. there was a hint as to his past in Batman and Robin.. his family were murdered by twoface and he was lost in a cave I think as a little guy.

Are you talking about Batman?
It has been a while since I have seen the movies, but I am pretty sure that it was Robins family that were killed by Twoface??
It was joker that killed Batmans parents and that was in the first Batman movie.
This is correct, isn't it?

Well, it doesn't look like they screwed it up as badly as the last two films.
I'd still like to see that live action Batman Beyond movie they were planning a while back, but that'll never happen.

sure, webs are cool :)
The one thing that they are just beginning to explore with Spiderman is his own dual identity effect.
He's a bookish nerd but when he's behind the mask he's a wisecracking smart ass .. something Peter Parker never is ..
its kind of like the good/bad yin/yang thing Batman has going on with the Joker..
Anyway .. comparing batman with spiderman is like comparing apples and oranges .. whatever appeals to you more...
If you like the dark gothic tortured soul thing then batman will be the preference
If you like a regular shmuck tortured soul then you have your spidey ..
room in my world for both .. and the xmen :)

ok you just named the lamest of all the batman villians :)
Doc Oc was the shit !!
I loved the way he was portrayed as a loving husband .. a good man. Made for a more interesting dynamic. So far i think the spidey villians are more complex ... not so black and white.
But again, i liked all of the batmans despite their flaws.
Except #2 .. it was painfully obvious Burton had no intrest in Batman in that movie and wanted to concentrate on the villians ..
That might be a good move in another movie but it didnt work for me in this one .. Batman is far more interesting than the villians he faces .. as hopefully we are about to find out in the new flick.

Well said. I liked both. Although I can identify with Peter Parkers issues just trying to get buy paying his rent, then he's got his whole spidey side with more problems. It just has a tad more realism to it in my eyes. I like both though.

yeah its funny .. but although spiderman has these implausible super powers and batman has none .. the peter parker character is someone we can all relate to more.
someone struggling to make it day to day .. some poor kid who ruins his other clothes washing his spiderman outfit.
a guy who could finally profit from this amazing thing that happened, but he's trapped and cant tell anyone about it or use it to ease his life.
The only positive thing its done is give him some confidence .. over time.
In his own way he's more tortured than Batman.
Batman lost his parents and is slowly going mad but by day - a rich guy with chicks falling all over him ?
hard for me to relate to anyone who has a mansion and a butler.
