I beat HL2

And i must say, it fucking owns AND kicks ass. The whole atmosphere was great, you really do feel like you are trying to save the world by the end of the game.

The Ravenholm Levels qualify as a kick-ass horror game in their own right. (3 types of zombies, 3 types of headcrabs and moody lighting... unbelievable).

The end is great/irritating. Once you remind yourself (several times) that when HL2 was beuing written and made, Hl3 was already in the works, then you wont scream too much or kick your monitor.


The voice acting was superb, and the character interaction with the NPCs rivals the best RPGs out there.

Also, i am playing it through again with godmode on to collect a massive number of screenshots. expect one of the largest HL2 galleries on the web. :D

I'm in Ravenholm now. Doom 3 had some creepy moments but this place scares the shit out om me. Just when I got used to the slow plodding zombies, they throw theses fast fuckers at ya. I almost ran away from my computer the first time I encountered one of them.

I'm having a blast with the gravity gun. Pick up a saw blade and cut those suckers in half.Good times.

The weakest pc that Alienware carries these days is more than powerful enough to play HL2.


Budman. RavenholmKicks ass. How do you like the Poison Headcrabs? Those zombies almost scare me more than the fast ones. And who knew that Saw blades and gas-canisters could be so fun? :)

I hate those little fuckers. One hit zaps most of your health. I almost feel bad for those unforunate bastards screaming and wailing.....especially when their on fire.....but I still love to cut them in half with a saw blade.

The worst part with the fast zombies is sitting on the rooftop, waiting for the big bucket so you can get over with Grigori, and they come tearing ass down the street, its quiet for a second, then the drain pipe starts slamming back and forth and you KNOW one is climbing the damn thing to get to you.

Although, you feel much better when you peg the fucker in the face with a shotgun blast and it bowls over backwards off the roof. :D

A little nerve racking, that was. The anticipation was the worse thing.You knew they were coming and then the drain pipe starts shaking......the first time I kinda freaked and fell off the roof.
