I don't know anything about making movies....

But I'd really, really like to start making some movies. Like by starting off with small, short film with a really low budget. Could anybody give me tips on anything? Like lighting, sound, props that kind of stuff.

get people you trust to get stuff done. That's the main thing. Any other advice people give you, great or not, will be useless if the other people involved don't do anything

Other than that, invest in some video editing software and a DVD burner

Just because your tripod stands about 5 feet tall, it doesn't mean every shot should be from that height. Mix it up a little.
You can use a halogen bulb for lighting in a almost any lamp. I would suggest using pieces of metal screen over it to spread the light out ("diffusion") so you don't get tons of harsh shadows (unless that's what you're going for).
Most camcorders have a built in microphone. Unfortunately these microphones tend to pick up the whirling motor sounds of the camera itself. If you can use an external mic, do so.
Always shoot more footage than you need. You'll thank me for that one when editing.
Hire me to do your music. ok. I made that part up.

Lots of nudity and lots of fake blood. The title also has to allude to the movie having lots of nudity and gore aswell. How about Nude Bloodbath.... in the nude? :p

Thanks, Montage. I just know what it's like to have a great idea and zero budget. Besides, I'm mega-cheap anyways LOL
