what was the best scene in the first evil dead

None really, Evil Dead was just a horrible movie. But, if I must choose... hmm, can't remember the movies apart. They were so alike. The mirror scene was not a kill scene but it did kick ass. "We just hacked up our girlfriend with a chainsaw. Does that sound fine to you?"
Or something like that.

when tha twoman was sitting on the floor laughing at him while she was possesed..that and when he was in the basement. i think that might have been in ED2. but that was pretty freaky too.

Actually, my favorite scene in the first "Evil Dead" is the scene where Ash drags the book out of the fire with the pendant. It looks so impossible. The music surges. Can he do it??? Sure he can do it, as sure as good can win over evil.

I'll never forget the 1st time i saw that one ..

I was open mouthed 'holy fuck' ! through the entire thing.
Nothing like it had come before.

It was an out and out assault on the senses.

I guess it's possible for someone not to like it but it blows my mind that a horror fan wouldnt ..

I agree with urge...the pencil scene..the whole scene leading up to the actual pencil in the ankle was great. "Queen of hearts, Jack of clubs, 5 of diamonds" or something like that...hmmm..I think thats exactly what she says...I'm gonna have to look that up.
