I saw the movie "Blade" the other night...I loved it!! The vampires were sufficiently scary, the fight scenes were entertaining and the movie actually had a point.
I had heard so much about it...but didn't think it would be spooky judging from the movie case so I kept passing it by. A friend stopped by with it so I thought I'd give it a chance. I'm glad I did. Pleasant surprise! (Now we can finally see the second one!)
One thing I really appreciated about the movie was...no stupid love scenes!! Yippeee! Nothing worse than some pointless steamy scenes to drag it out, especially when it has nothing to do with the movie. I do question the ability of the lead woman's shooting though...did she EVER hit any vampires? Sheesh!
All in all, a good flick...loved the hand removing sword and Blade's jacket!
The best part of the movie is in the beginning at the dance club.

I own both Blade movies on DVD and think they are both pretty good, not great but good to watch when you want see someone kick some ass. I liked the characters in Blade 2 more though. Nomak was cool.
Blade 2 has some great imagery and action in it, even if the story is a little weak. I can watch it just for the visuals!

i thought the 1st one petered out in the end a bit - was pretty decent till then.
#2 was great beginning to end with the exception of one pretty bad and unessessary CGI fight sequence.
#3 was poop

With the exception of some very weak dialogue by some of the vampires, I thought the first was an excellent action film. I loved the fight sequences and the scene in the club was done very well, as has already been mentioned.
Now I can't say enough about how much I loved the second one. The action was great and the villian was much scarier.
The third one was a waste of time, in my opinion.

"You made a VAMPIRE.............PARMERANIAN!!!???"
That shit was funny, along with a lot of his air time. He made the movie worth watching again.
oh god that was what ruined blade 3 for me ... every time he opened his mouth (except the dog line) i wanted to shoot the TV ...

Never a big fan of Blade. I really didn't think they were entertaining at all.

Guillermo del Toro made Blade 2 great because he put more humanity in it than the other two flicks. I thought the most interesting story was the one revolving around Nomak, Damaskinos and Nyssa.

eh, I enjoyed the first one, wasn't impressed with the second and as far as the third goes, I haven't seen it. How's Jessica Beil's ass? after seeing TCM I have had this urge to spank her.
