Hi, I'm new to this forum but hoping someone can help as I've run out of options! I remember seeing a film in the late sixties/early seventies (black and white film). Newly married woman moves to her husband's house/farm (?). The house was on the top of a hill and I'm pretty sure it has a reference to the house or the hill in the title of the film. He is away a lot and leaves her with the strange housekeeper and caretaker/gardener. Things start to seem strange and she sees the gardener go past the house
with a board covered in blood. It later transpires that some sort of witchcraft is taking place and she discovers that her husband runs this covern. She tries to escape and runs into the road when she sees a car full of nuns but it transpires that they are the witches. She is taken outside by her husband and they lay her down with the board on top and pile stones on top of her until supposedly they crush her to death. Only she escapes and I can't remember the ending.

It had a big effect on me as a young teenager (shouldn't have been watching it, I know!) and I would love to find the name of it.
I've pnly ever seen it advertised on TV once, about ten years or so ago and I couldn't watch it then as I was going out and couldn't record it.

If you can help at all, I would be grateful. I'd love to see it now I'm older as it really did affect me a lot (I wouldn't go to sleep on my back for years and years!) and I want to see just how scary it really is!.

Thanks for reading. Any help would be great.

Not sure, but it might be "Crowhaven Farm", TV movie with Hope Lange (from the Ghost and Mrs. Muir Tv series.)

Thanks Juanhacko. I have just looked up the title on search engine and that is exactly the film. I had a totally different title in my head. I can now go and find the film and see what I was so scared about all those years ago.

Many thanks for your help.
