Just downloaded and watched this again, saw it years ago on vhs. I still think its a good film staring Rutger Hauer. Its a sort of sci-fi/horror film set in a flooded London in the future.

I've been searching for it on R2 DVD, not sure whether it's had a R2 DVD release though. I have seen a R1 DVD version on Amazon.....but for a friggin $99.99 to $159.99 :eek: and somewhere else for $20 lol

Rutger is one of my all time faves but this movie was trash !
I have the laserdisc so if you get a region free player i can burn you a copy ..

The film made no sense .. A serial killer satanic mutant ?
And Rutger was just playing a parody of himself ..

It did have whatsername ... Kim Cattral in a shower scene so its work keeping the laser :)

the british lackey sidekick guy was ok.

I'll will say though - that because the look and feel of a UK film is a refreshing change from a US release, even a bad horror film is slightly more entertaining.

... Love Split Second, its a great fun B movie, great rainy London setting, cool monster and Rutger Hauer!!!

... depends what your into, but I think this movie is great stuff ...

Holy shit....I haven't thought of this movie in years. From what I remember it didn't suck....and I do love RH. Will have to keep an eye out for this one.

ahh gowannn! you're just humping it because it was made in the UK when precious other horror films were at that time :)

I have good memories of this movie. I dont particularly find Kim attractive ( i like fuller, bustier women... Like my wife :D), i the first time i learned to truly love getting boozed up was watchiung this movie. Zima (uck), Butterscotch schnapps and Somberoes.... :D

Rutger really chewed the scenery in that one .. the tough guy cop ...
I just couldnt grasp the concept on where/what/why the killer was.

Drink heavily and watch it, that is my prescription. Clears up all the finer points, because you arent capable of noticing there arent any :)
