kazaa...and all those types of p2p apps are crap when it comes to downloading, when compared to getting torrents...

what internet connection do you have?
do you have a firewall? or run the windows XP firewall?
is your firewall setup corectly to allow your BT client access?
have your forwarded ports on your software firewall?
is your modem conected to a router?
have you forwarded ports within the router?

your isp may be blocking or throttling the default BT ports.
are you trying to D/L films that are popular?
do these films have seeds?

Some films have very few seeds and mostly leechers, which will slow the download times.

Thare are many things that can affect BT downloads, most of which I've listed above. What I'd sugest is finding a BitTorrent faq and having a read through it.

:)

I've 'purchased' quite a few films through bt ;) If I dont like em they get deleted, and If I do I'll buy them on DVD and they'll get deleted anyway.

i'll share with you one of the worst kept secrets of the internets ...
USENET (the newsgroups)

I've downloaded close to 1000 movies ..
every format ...

DVD is available to but I have a set top burner so it doesnt do me any good.
The newsgroups are as fast as your service ..
So it depends on your IP.
My IP - the retention on the groups is about 3 weeks and all posts are complete.

i would never bother with any other way.

I used the program "Ares" to download CKY2k, CKY3, CKY4, CKY Documentry, Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead(2004), and a whole bunch of music videos.

I read somewhere that Night of the Living Dead (original) is free to download, because of a copywrite issue, is this true?

Yes!

George Romero didnt copyright it [ ]

Any movie place you go in around here, you can get it for a couple ucks, no copyright law, so alot of companies put out DVDs of it.
