Deffinately Childs Play, I'm a huge Chucky fan. Bride of Chucky and Seed of Chucky are okay, too, but they are more comedy horror. Also a huge Halloween fan.

my favorite series are definately Halloween except for the 3rd one. It would have been good if they gave it a different name besides Halloween. They could of just put Season of the Witch or somethin'. Next there's Friday the 13th. I like all of them except 5. Damn that was stupid. Next Scream. A lot of people are going to disagree but Scream and Scream 3 were pretty good. Scream 3 had like the best ending out of any horror movie i have ever seen. A Nightmare comes next. I liked all of them 'cept New Nightmare and Part 2.

I've always liked the Hellraiser series. Mostly because of the potential the story has. The first three were great and heading in the right direction. The premise was too good to just throw away on thoughtless sequels.

I quite like Warlock. I know it's not right up there with "horror", but they were interesting to watch. I myself have only seen the first 2, how many are there now....anyone?
The Omen was pretty decent as well, until it came to the impostor of a movie, peice of shit #4...that was just a ripoff - reused elements thrown together from the previous films.
Evil Dead out of those that have been mentioned thus far.
I also lean towards the generic series everyone always mentions in these things: noes, f13, halloween, childs play, tcm....but I don't like enough of each of their installations to say they're my favourite series.

the Evil Dead series for me. I'm a big fan of the Exorcist, but the 2nd one and the prequel really blew it for the whole franchise.
But, the "Mario Bava series" is probably my favorite. I know that's not the kind of series we're talking about, but it does say "Mario Bava Series" at the top of all of those dvds. Bava, to me, is great. All of the movies in this "series" are, at the very least, worth watching... unlike all of the typical answers to this question (F13, NOES, Halloween, etc).

when a movie gets to it's second sequel (third movie) it is considered a trilogy. So trilogys shouldn't be included in your favorite "series"

I inculde them since some horror movies don't make pass three movies. For example, evil dead is a good one. It has three parts, it theycould of made more but they didn't. So for those movies what could made it to four, but didn't, that ways I inculde trigoloy for this thread

Ditto...plus I will add the Hellraiser, TCM, and Romero's Dead series, (even the remakes). Frankenstein and Dracula get my vote too.

one of my all time favorites ...
I think its the directors entheusiasm that comes through and grabs you ..
not often that the same director makes all of the movies in a series.

Halloween, though I thought the series should have ended with H20.
Friday The 13th, I could sit here watching Jason movies until he's got to chase people around in a wheelchair.

hellraiser all the way with the exception on number 5. a close second would be night of the living dead with return of the living dead (2) being the best.

I said:
The Omen 1,2 and 3(3 was only okay, but we're judging by series, i.e. at least 3, which you didn't provide)
Halloween 1,2, and 5(although I don't know for sure it's 5...maybe 4 or 6...which one has the little girl?)
I'd like to nominate Dario Argento from '75 to '85

Probably the Phantasm series at the moment I've liked them all so far.....except no. 4 (cause its not out here anywhere so I haven't had a chance to see it) and I've got a soft spot for the Return of the Living Dead series and the Romero Dead series.

I just re-watched Hellraiser-Hellbound, (not sure of what # it is) last week, and I had forgotten how bad it was. I checked Blockbuster yesterday, and of course that is the only one of the series they have! So I guess I'll just have to run out and pick up a copy.

I know they arent the best but they are somehow endearing.
#4 is cool because the origional cast is back.

Phantasm II is probably one of the best horror movies I've seen. Someone on here recomended it to me and I was really suprised at how good it was one of the few sequels that is better than the original. Yeh I'm gonna have to buy Part 4 from overseas I guess.
