I'm so excited, the Monster Island DVD is out! It stars Carmen Electra
who gets kidnapped by giant bugs and is abosolutely hilarious. Even Nick
Carter and Adam West (the original Batman) are in it! This is by far one
of the best campy horror films I've seen and is sure to become a classic
for our generation. There's even a great e-card you can check out at:

I like adam west, at least he has the balls to make fun of himself, but nick carter and carmen electra? Beat nick with carmen then toss them into a deep canyon.....

personally i think Monster Island is a funny title ..
it sounds so childish...
I dont mind a horror comedy if its funny .. they have a bad name because they usually arent.
Shawn of the Dead was a fantastic movie ..

I've always been partial to Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein as well.
a lot of people crap on Scream because of the exposure and the way it steadily grew weak - but I thought the 1st one was basically a comedy - full of horror movie in-jokes ...
It did spawn another run of dumb teen slasher movies but thats because its box office profits were huge.
It really was an homage to the 70's - 80's slasher flicks people here love so much ..and it did have a lot of funny moments ..
(like the stabbing scene between the killers at the end)
Dead-Alive aka Braindead,was also a good horror/comedy.
This Monster Island could have been good if Carmen showed her cans.

Matt Lillard is so fucking funny when he has good material. "My mom and dad are gonna be so mad at me!" LOL
