Instead of listening to everybody bitch, why not just "pimp" your site/movie/moviesite here? If you don't like "spammin" "pimpin" or whatever REAL INDEPENDENT HORROR then DON'T READ ANY FURTHER! GO TO A DIFFERENT THREAD! what a novel concept. ok, ha ha, here's mine:

Like Halloween, Dr. Loomis? check Volume 1 and 2 on this site:

Just trying to get some feedback, suggestions, etc... not trying to hurt anybody, that's all. Everybody needs to relax.

I don't want to let such a novel idea die, so I did some camera work on these movies:
THE LUNAR PACK DVD (http://www.hocfocprod.com/Cryingwolf.htm)
DEAD MEAT (http://www.ricepowerproductions.com)
DARK ROSE: FEEDIN' & BREEDIN' (http://www.geocities.com/hocfocprod/darkrose.htm)

I don't think the crew is going to get paid any more whether you buy them or not, but it would be nice for people to at least know they exist. ;)

It should be running policy that anyone who registers to pimp something out before they reach 100 posts (hell, even 5 at this rate lately) should be beaten with their own shoes and forced to drink dog urine. Just a thought.

I made a movie for school called The Good, The Bad, and The Iliad. It was really popular in and out of the class, and it ended up making over 10 times its budget through DVD sales.

The sequel, A Fistful of Odyssey, is in pre-production

Entropy (or Entropic, whichever) won't be a comedy. Not deliberately, at least.

It WILL, however, be free of all copyrighted music, so it will be for sale all nice and legal-like.

Greetings, fellow horror fans;

Lars Simkins from AAD Productions here... we've got an indie horror flick called 'Desecration' in the works & our trailer site just went live:
'Desecration' trailers (http://www.whatisdesecration.com)

We're not releasing this anytime soon (probably mid-2007) but I figured you'd all get a kick out of seeing trailers for a good old-fashioned horror flick - you know, something to wash the 'Fog' remake out of your mind.

So give 'em a gander & enjoy...
- Lars

nice trailer - great camera work and lighting - the acting was stiff and stagey - but that comes with the territory. nice editing effects with the witch. good luck getting it out there.

Took awhile to get used to the very stylized look of it all, but I love the TV acting as a type of oracle and the animation guarenteed you got the facial expressions you wanted.

Well, after the flame war I found the proper place to pimp the film projects, huh?
Well if you didnt see the other posts I was involved in...
Check out our retro 70s Zombie film "Flesh Crawl" with trailer, pics, nterviews and a free poster you can print out for the kiddies!
Its meant to look cheesey, but also Romero like in Zombie lore and with many static camera angles/shots like the original "Dawn".
We wanted to get away from the new breed of running Zombies and take it back old school, when films actually creeped you out after you saw them.
View the official site here:
And the production company site:
And if anyone has any short films or anything they would like to submit for some free publicity (MAKE SURE YOUR COPYRIGHTS IN PLACE)and send them to the address on the 50bc site under "submissions"
Why woud we promote your film project for free?
Because we are launching the 4 minute promo film for a slasher film I directed called "NOT ALONE"
We are going to promote like crazy on it to gain financial backing...willing to help other artists, they way people helped us get our start.
Its free and a non-monetary exchange.
Submissions accepted until March 29th.
Comments are appreciatd!
Later-Dustin

I am right outside of Reading Pa,while my film partner resides in Lancaster,Pa.
Agreed...it is hard to make a believable Zombie film.
When I first saw the original DOTD,I was 8 years old...and the feeling I got from watching it creeped me out for days.
Its something we wanted to give back to the Horror community which Hollywood wont or cant do anymore.
I am in no way comparing us to "DOTD",but after watching a slew of indie Zombie films in the past 2 years,I think we are the closest in feeling.
Plus, throw in the claustrophobia and suspense of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and you will have a good idea of what we are after.
I directed a short 4 minute slasher mini movie to gain financing for the feature entitled "NOT ALONE"and it will premeire on the 50BC site within the next 2 months.
If you like Slasher flicks, youy are going to want to check this one out!
Its funny,so many directors try to get away from doing Horror, yet my whole life thats all I have wanted to do.
Make good Horror films for Horror fans.
We will do anything,Slasher,Zombie...as long as its scary.
Thanks for checking them out!

OK, now this will seem a bit spammy, but I really am offering it as a resource, really. I set up a MySPace account for people to drop their trailers on. This september, Brett Piper's newest fear fest "Shock-o-Rama" hits stores, and it is a wild ride. If you are into the olden days of wild Drive In movies with Attractive Ladies, Wild Effects, and a Colossal Brain! No kidding here, its as close as you can get to the drive in without having to turn the engine on halfway through out of fear of the battery going dead.

Hi everyone,

I'd like to invite you to check out the website for mine and my brother's upcoming Indie horror movie, 'When Evil Reigns'. Here's the blurb:

When Evil Reigns is the debut feature film for Australian brothers Luke and Alix Jackson. Working with a budget of only $5000 and a technically inexperienced cast and crew, Luke and Alix fought to develop the film from an ambitious dream into a finished product. With a straight-to-DVD release lined up in the USA, 2006 promises to be a big year for these brothers from down-under.

On the website, you'll find a more detailed decription of the film, some scenes to download, and the latest news and reviews. We always love to hear from horror fans.

You'll find 'When Evil Reigns' Online at www.whenevilreigns.com

Also, you might like to check out a cool write-up by the ABC, one of Australia's largest news services, about our filmmaking process. It's perfect for those of you thinking about starting this sort of project yourselves: http://www.abc.net.au/news/arts/articulate/200605/s1634689.htm

Luke.

Since someone here who prefers remakes and insists I must be working on "a piece of crap", I'll throw the trailer on for anyone interested to decide for themselves (even though I detest spamming, it's still upcoming and indie):

'The Shrieking' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuS8RiJhW7s)

damn. I can't remember for the life of me how I included YouTube videos in my signature a few months ago. Did the board style change ?

nm. I remember. I just can't post it directly on thread.

That's funny. I live near Collingswood.

Here is my short....

Saw Spoof (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tflDJIdaqPM)

P.S. My brother, friends, and myself made this short like two years ago on no budget or script. We just improvised the whole way so try not to rip us that badly.

I'm aspiring the best I can to become a filmmaker and right now I'm working on a project titled The Call, all shot on a Canon XL2.

We're no where near done but these are some pictures from what we've been doing that I have been sharing around lately:
