Hey y'all. Sitting in front of my computer the other day, I remembered a faint memory of a frankenstein-based movie I watched with my dad as a kid.It seemed to be futuristic, and the Frankenstein-type character was portrayed as a hero in the film. I'm pretty certain the film was made in the 80s. I just can't remember the darn name. I hope someone can help me with this.

My girlfriend thought it was something like "The Man Without a face"( not to be confused with Mel Gibson flick) or something like that. And she said he lived in a wharehouse in the flick and wore some type of mask. She also said he is a misunderstood hero in the movie.

Its gotta be "Frankenstein Unbound." I know you already said that wasn't it but its just gotta be!
And if its not then I'm gonna hold my breath until I turn blue until you say it is.
Really, I will.
I'm that bored.

i thought frankenstain unbound because he said 'futuristic' .. but its the 'time machine' thats futuristic otherwise it takes place in the past doesnt it ?

I havent seen this movie in a long time...so i might have the story wrong ..

but when he mentioned an anti-hero living in a warehouse with a removable face .. that sure sounded like Darkman to me ..

I had an Auntie Hilda living in a whorehouse with a removable neck-brace, once.

Futuristic compared to the original tale of Frankenstein? That COULD well be modern day....
The ONLY thing that comes to mind when you describe the monster as a "hero" type character that wore some kind of mask is something I saw on tv once between the early and mid 90's, called "house of frankenstein", not to be confused with the ancient series of the same name, this was a telemovie that ran for about 3 and a bit hours.
Also involved vampires and police tracking them...some of which were also the main characters.
Uh, can't remember much other than the main bad guys (vamps) wanting to exploit the monster, and some "goons" attempting to subdue him using tasers, after he'd killed them, he said "they were foolish to try to hold me using electricity"....Um, other than that, when the police stormed the vamps place, their was a shootout to "bullet with butterfly wings"...

Probably not what you're talking about, but it bought up the memory.

Never mind the zeros, here come thirty of the bastards. You could be quick to summarize, but June will never come if he walks before during one of her "teacup-storms".
