I can go on and on about bad things/dissappointing times in my life...but they would seem miniscule compared to some of the suffering I've read on here. Fortunately, I haven't experienced deaths of anyone who is close to me...but I can imagine how devastating it would be.

By the way, I am totally not in the know regarding the situation with freddyfan. Can you fill me in? If it is too repetitive for you, no prob.

Where do I begin, before I do I am a better person for all of it so here goes,

My father (bastard) abandoned me when I was 3, he decided he couldnt handle being a parent and had to many of his own problems. He died in a horrible carwreck when I was about 5. I have never forgiven him for leaving me and my mother but I am no longer bitter about it.

After that moving from trailer park to trailer park, (do I sound like Eminem?) my mother met a wonderful Nazi who used to use me as a punching bag during his fits of drunkenness and yea pretty much when he wasnt drunk too. I beat his fucking ass when I was about 15, he never touched me again, they divorced soon after.

My mother decided that her life needed to start over so she worked 70 hours a week to go buy Nieman Marcus and Marshall Fields bullshit and spend all her time with her boyfriends, I raised myself.

17 kicked out into the street because I wouldnt sit on the fucking couch whilst mother called my current girlfriend a hillbilly.

17-23 traveled, used alcohol and drugs to excess, probably should be in jail for some of the things I have done. Met the love of my life, we created a child, she destroyed it. I didnt stop her, so I am as much to blame. Became very bitter and angry at the world at times.

Somewhere in their I found my way and although it took a while to get on track, since my mid twenties I have done well for myself. I dont speak much to my mother and my sister, they have their priorities fucked up, material possessions are more important to them.

Guess I paid my karma check ahead of time.

I highly recommand a Drug habit for depressed people here, you won't think about bad times, or cry about your sad little life. everyone has a sad story

Everyone has it rough in one form or another. I just sit and think, "oh fuck my life blows" then i realize there are alot more people out there who have it worse then i do, and i'm thankful for what i have. It seems you kinda think that a bit too.

The old saying is true " what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" for some it involves taking it up the ass from a lifer named Bubba, but some learn and grow. I have faith in you;)

Yeah it seems like they will let any old asshole be a parent these days. I can remember at the time that all I wanted to do was kill the SOB and a few others but thats teen angst I am guessing.

I am sure that there are others that had it way worse than me, I mean when I was a teen I had a roof over my head, I suppose the movie "The Breakfast Club" is a good example of a lot of gen Xers. I would fit in between Judd Nelsons character and Ally Sheedys character, I didnt have the benefit of my parents being well off.

I dont think about it much anymore, I have my own family to worry about and I will NEVER allow what happened to me to happen to them.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but the Eminem song "cleaning out my closet" really hits home for me at times. I kind of feel a connection to the guy I dont know why because I HATE FUCKING RAP MUSIC but for some reason I tolerate his.

Must be because his is about real life instead of big screen TVs,blunts, 40s and bitches as the song goes. LOL

I totally agree with FairyKorpes statements. I hate rap music also, but if your depressed most of your life. you really miss out on the better shit. Plus no one likes a Downer
