Christian Bale as Batman....

This is just a continuation from the Superman thread regarding unknown actors in these new superhero movies.

Christian Bale is definately a weird choice for Batman. He doesn't look the part at all but he can act rings around just about any Hollywood bozo. He's made some great, weird, mostly indie films. Anyone see "Velvet Goldmine?" Crazy-ass movie loosely based on Iggy Pop and David Bowie. Good flick! Plus Bale's got genre cred....he was the "American Psycho" for cryin' out loud!

Kilmer was good, IMO.....Clooney did leave some to be desired, Ill admit. But I enjoyed all the Batman movies so far (Havnt sen Returns though) I dunno If Im gonna like this one much.....Ill give it a try tho

yeah eqilibrium is an awesome fukin movie.......bale did it up in that one......i also like reign of fire, american psycho, and velvet goldmine (although i fell asleep in the middle of it lmao).......but i think he is gonna give this movie a great boost out of the clooney kilmer slump.......GOD THOSE MOVIES SUCKED SO BAD!!!!! i mean the first two OWNED but the kilmer blew and the directing sucked.....then clooney blew worse and so did the directing.........hopefully this one will go back to the darker batman.........not the fake as black light darkness shit!!:o :rolleyes:

Hey Bloodrayne...you're absolutely correct! Keaton WAS pretty awesome as Batman, at least I think so, and I don't care what anybody says. I mean, the guy was "Beetlejuice" for crissakes!

Yeah, most people didn't like Keaton but I really did. So if you all think I'm whacked in the head then...well, maybe I am.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about the guy as Batman...."Beetlejuice" rules!
