Since most of us here don't agree with two-party systems ....

I nominate my own flabby ass for president of HDC, and I'll take fluffho to be my veep.

I have a plan to change the look of the site, so that it isn't all gray and spaceshippy.

I also have a plan to alter the smiley options we have. As it is under the current government, they have more to do with Wal-Mart than horror.

I have many more plans ... but you'll have to elect me to see what they are.

To answer your question, Arioch, when I become the president of HDC, I plan on making members' experiences here at the site far more enjoyable and meaningful. I have a plan to change the look of the site so that it is customizable to individual member preferences. No more spaceshippy, metallic, what the fuck background coloring. Plus, I will implement a strategy that will enable members to use better quality smilies in their posts. Horror-related smilies, no less. As my vice-president, Fluffho (after I talk to her about this) will engage members in entertaining flights of pure evil on a weekly basis.

There will be more interaction, more member rewards (ever actually WIN a game in the general forum??? Well, elect me and you will! And you'll get prizes, too!) and an overall improved HDC experience.

I would like to take this opportunity to point out that Orangestar and Hatebreeder have some sort of crazy internet romance going on. My running mate (Dolarhyde) has accepted my offer. Here is our platform:

Nearly a month ago, HDC endured a terrible tradgedy. One of our beloved mods went on a "drunken rampage" on our fair community. None were safe from his wrath. His motives? Certain members had given him good reason to be very angry. One of theres members is now the running mate to Stingy Jack, Fluffho. Is this really who you want for the V.P. of this site? Someone who could be such...pure evil, as to drive a well respected member of the site into a rage that climaxed in innocent members getting banned? I would certainly hope not.

Among the innocents that were banned was a member known as Vampenguin. At first, after he was banned, he tried to pretend to be a totally different person. He created a new account, made a phony profile, and all went well. For awhile. Eventually, the pressure of carrying on as someone other than himself became too much to bear, and Dark_Hero revealed his true identity.

Having had this injustice preformed to me in the past, I will do everything in my power to keep this site fair an just, for all member. Old or new.

One thing our fine site has become imfamous for is the blashing of n00bies. I will freely admit, that from time to time, this can be a quite enjoyable activity. But if every n00b who joined was automaticly despised...What would this forum be? My running mate, Dollarhyde, will bring fresh, new ideas to our fine forum.

So in conclusion....Vote Dark_Hero/ Dolarhyde in 2004!

Please note, fellow members, that this accusation is coming from a person who has only made 412 posts since he registered in July. Those members that know me know that I am a teacher, and my access to the site is limited by my job. Not only am I in the classroom all day, but when evenings roll around, I am engaged in grading papers and preparing for the next day's class. Fluffho's evilness is a major part of our platform!), and of having the potential to cause another moderator to go on a banning rampage. Yet, when he mentions HIMSELF getting banned, he claims he is an innocent victim. Granted, I was not there. I do not know what went down. But I find it really hard to believe that Vampenguin did absolutely NOTHING to Kpro, and still got banned.

Vampenguin's platform seems impressive, but he plans on putting a stop to, what he calls "n00b blashing"??? Let me say this: n00b bashing is a rite of initiation into HDC. Most of us here have had to endure it in order to become respected members. And I believe that those members who were here when the n00b bashing stopped for a time, will vouch that it may be necessary. Otherwise, we'll be overrun with oversensitive n00bs! Great! I suppose the candidates should all have to agree on a time they can be present for the debate. I'm free after 4:30 during the week, and all day on the weekends. So, I'll let someone with a more stringent schedule pick the time.

Once all of the candidates are online for the debate, you would merely address a question to a certain candidate ... then allow each of the opponents to respond. Then, again, allow the original candidate one last response in defense before moving on to the next question for a different candidate. Sound good?

My Fellow Members,

Because I believe in being honest with the members who have and are supporting me, I wanted to announce that I recently received a threatening private message from chainsawguy. The message was, verbatim, "You're going down." I will assume that I am right in perceiving this message as a threat. In what way I am "going down" is not clearly defined ... am I going to die? Am I going down on somebody else? Am I going to lose the election?

If it can be defined as "you are going to lose the election", I find this to be an extremely conceited and self-assured declaration. Chainsawguy, apparently, uses tactics in his campaigning that are similar to those used by jeuveniles on the ball-field. I would just like to make it clear that I will not do any backdoor campaigning by responding to these messages privately. If you have something to say to me regarding this election, you can very well say it so that the other members can read it - just as my responses will be made openly and publicly.

I am not an alcoholic. The ID "Stingy Jack" that I use on this site is to honor the legendary character from where jack-o-lanterns derive. It is an homage to Halloween. Not drunken old misers.

I would also like to reiterate that I do have plans to improve your overall experience at horror.com. These are plans that can actually be executed (unlike the promises to lower taxes ... please!), and were formulated with your entertainment and enjoyment in mind. I know that many of you are curious as to what these plans are so that you may be more fully informed when you cast your vote. The only problem with me revealing my plans before the election is that once they are made known, any of my opponents can steal them ... thus making them just as attractive to vote for as I am. You will just have to trust that I know what I am talking about. However, I don't have to hide one of those plans, because it has already been announced and it is not something that can be stolen:

Fluffho, my running mate, will gladly pose in sexy outfits for you if you elect us. She will not do this if any of the other candidates are elected. She has already promised that she will, and even declared that this is a promise she can keep. :)

So, don't vote for these other children. Vote Stingy Jack/Fluffho 2004 for a better HDC experience.

If you don't vote Stingy, you don't know Jack!
